Although it will be the 30th anniversary of Cheers ending later this month, the stars of the show have an everlasting friendship, and two of the actors recently got together for a special reason.

George Wendt and John Ratzenberger, who played Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin in Cheers, respectively, came together to visit the show's iconic bar one last time, as the set used in the show goes up for auction.

Dallas' WFAA news channel reported on the visit, accompanying the two actors as they sat at the stools their characters' used to sit on every day, where Ted Danson's Sam Malone served them drinks.

The entire bar set used in Cheers is currently up for auction in the James Comisar Collection at Heritage Auctions, alongside many more major pieces of TV history.

Ratzenberger said of the set, "Sets like these usually go into the trash heap, but for Jim Comisar to preserve this, the Archie Bunker set ... that's a big deal."

According to CBS News, Comisar said that the bar set was just sitting in studio storage with a dead skunk inside when he took it to preserve. There are even the names of Cheers actors, like the late Kirstie Alley, carved into the bar top.

Joshua Benesh, Heritage's chief strategy officer, said of the various sets up for auction, "We now understand just how rare some of these things are and how fundamental to our collective popular culture they are. These characters are iconic. They've become part of the fabric of who we are."

The current bid for the Cheers bar set is $100,000, with 19 days left in the auction, so if you happen to have extra cash lying around, this could be yours!
