Cheeky Harbor Seal Attempts to Steal a Fisherman's Freshly-Caught Salmon Straight From His Hands
It can be so easy to become desensitized to the people, things, and animals you're around daily, so a normal moment to some can seem more like a movie scene to others. Just check out this intense harbor seal encounter that @seahawk.151 shared on their TikTok account!
I was floored by the bold seal who approached this fisherman and his colleague, but the two people were as calm as could be. The seal even tried again (and again) to steal the salmon they had, but these mariners weren't phased!

OMG! I wouldn't have the slightest idea what to do if a seal approached me like the one did in this video. Thankfully, these fishermen were well-prepared for the wild animal encounter.
Still, commenters were floored! Some were charmed by the sweet seals' obvious begging techniques, while others loved the marine animals' distinct body language.
@Inkedbyann13 wrote, "The third one is me messing with my hands while shopping at the grocery store because I'm unsure of what to do with them while my husband makes fun of me for it." Aww! I can relate to the awkwardness of finding something to do with my hands, and apparently, so can that seal.
Some viewers thought it looked like the harbor seal using its hands was plotting the salmon heist, while others, like @coco_loco5662, thought it was asking "please, may I have some sir?" No matter what you think the animal was asking, there's no doubt how expressive it is. If I was the one cutting the salmon, I may have given in and tossed these adorable seals a few pieces!
