When we just can't decide where to go for dinner, restaurant reviews come in handy. Yelp has narrowed it down for us even more by choosing the Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024, and there is a lot of love for the South.

Among Southern states, Florida and Texas grabbed the most spots on the Top 100 list with 13 and eight eating establishments, respectively. But turns out Menya Rui in St. Louis, Missouri, ranked No. 2 in the country for places you've just got to try. According to Yelp, chef-owner Steven Pursley trained for three years in Japanese ramen shops before opening Menya. The noodle shop dishes pork shoyu ramen that tastes like the chef "gathered flavor from every corner of the universe and poured it into that bowl,” one Yelp reviewer said.

Fratellino in Coral Gables, Florida, rounded out the top five best restaurants—and we are talking about the entire country here. The menu features the family recipes of Beto DiCarlo, a third-generation restaurateur. His father’s signature Ossobuco Alla Milanese is described as fall-off the bone tender and is served over a creamy Champagne risotto. Yelp reviewers say DiCarlo "is a wonderful host and makes people feel at home, as if you are family," and one patron even said they have "spent a lot of time in Italy, and this is the best Italian food we’ve ever had."

The list of must-dine dinner spots is diverse, including everything from traditional Turkish dishes to Argentinian specialities. A few casual spots made the list as well, like Gino’s Deli Stop N Buy at No. 9. Located in a former convenience store in San Antonio, Texas, the deli is described as an "unassuming mini-mart making award-winning Philly cheesesteaks" with  “melt-in-your-mouth” ribeye, jalapeños, bell peppers, onions, and a special blend of spices. And yes, you'll find great taco and pizza joints on Yelp's Top 100 list, too.
