JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew Have Reportedly Broken Up

Shortly after JoJo Siwa came out earlier this year, she was totally in love and made it clear for her millions of fans to see. The dancer was head over heels for Kylie Prew, and it has been a joy to see their relationship play out over social media. Whether they're wearing matching outfits at Disneyland or flirting over Instagram, these two were always having fun together. We put together a timeline of their relationship so you can relive all of the couple's sweetest memories. And buckle up, because there are a lot.
October 20, 2021: According to a report by UsWeekly, JoJo and Kylie may have called it quits. A source told the outlet that Kylie stopped attending Dancing With The Stars, so she hasn't been seen in the audience since they split nearly two weeks ago.
The 18-year-old "Boomerang" singer opened up about the challenging and emotional week she's had in a heartfelt Instagram post on October 9, 2021.
"This week of my life has taught me SO much," JoJo captioned the post. "Live in the moment. Smile however you can. Whatever it takes to be happy, do it. … Even though this week has been one of the hardest in my life for so many different reasons, it's also been one of the best. I'm thankful for every time I smiled this week and every time I smiled in the last 18 years❤️."
In regards to her post, JoJo allegedly told UsWeekly that she was dealing with something that she's "never felt before."
"What goes on in my personal life every day is something. However, this week was very, very extreme and something that I had never gone through and something that I’ve never felt before," she reportedly said. "And it's tough and it's tricky, but luckily, I have really good people in my life. And I'm really lucky that every day this week I got to spend three hours with my best friend in rehearsals and we got to dance."
Neither JoJo nor Kylie have publicly commented on their alleged breakup at this time.
September 30, 2021: JoJo posted a fun TikTok at Disneyland with Kylie and her Dancing With The Stars partner, Jenna Johnson. In the clip, the trio nails some choreography to MKTO's "Classic" in matching Mickey Mouse-inspired outfits, but JoJo's caption is actually the sweetest part of it all.
"This made my day. My loveyyyyy did so gooood!!! And Jenna nailed it too, but loveyyyyyy," JoJo said of Kylie's smooth dance moves. Let's just say that if the support isn't on JoJo's level, I don't want it.
September 15, 2021: JoJo appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she shared details about the four anniversaries she celebrates with Kylie. Recapping all of the special days they honor together, JoJo said, "So my girlfriend and I, you know, Ky asked me to be the girlfriend on the 8th, January 8th. But then I was like you know what? I also did ask you to be my girlfriend, so we did that." Next up, she continued, "And yesterday was the anniversary of that day when I asked Ky to be my girlfriend."
Sharing the remaining dates, JoJo went on, "When Ky asked me to be [her] girlfriend, when I asked Ky to be [my] girlfriend, when we told each other that we liked each other and when we kissed for the first time. We celebrate all four. 8th, 14th, 28th, and 29th."
The couple doesn't plan to celebrate all of their anniversaries forever, though. "We’re on month number eight now and we’ll probably stop at a year. I would imagine every year we would only celebrate," she said.
August 21, 2021: JoJo and Kylie went on JoJo's mom's podcast, Success with Jess, to speak more about their relationship and how they originally got together. They told the in-depth story of how they met on a cruise ship in December 2019 and became best friends, only to start dating a year later. While the whole interview was absolutely adorable as the pair discussed how they fell in love, the best part came when JoJo revealed how she eventually asked out Kylie.
“I had a whole musical number," JoJo revealed. "I had like word choreography that coordinated to music and then it went into a song after the word [choreography]. It was magical." JoJo admitted that she ran through the whole act "like ten" times before performing it for Kylie. "I had to get the nerves out," she said.
Seriously, have you heard of anything more JoJo than asking someone out with a choreographed number?
July 8, 2021: JoJo and Kylie celebrated their six-month anniversary together with some sweet Instagrams. "Without a question… by far… the Best 6 months ever:)❤️ " JoJo wrote in the caption of her post. "I’m so lucky to get to call this incredible human my girlfriend.🥰 Thank you for everyday making me feel so special and SO loved. I will forever love you more than you know:)❤️ Happy 6 months to you my love bug!:)"
The pair also went out to dinner to celebrate the occasion, sharing videos of the evening on their Instagram Stories. "And just when you thought the view couldn't get any prettier," JoJo said while showing off the view from dinner. She then pans over to Kylie sitting at the table across from her and they share "I love yous."
June 4, 2021: JoJo celebrated Pride month and her five-month anniversary with Kylie on Instagram. "Happy pride month!🌈 " she wrote. "It’s time to celebrate being who you are and LOVING who YOU wanna LOVE!!❤️ It really has been the best 5 months of my life truly being exactly who I am and finding love has been the best part of it all. I love this human so much. I’m so happy❤️."
May 19, 2021: Kylie took to Instagram to share her love for JoJo on her 18th birthday. "My bestfriend/soulmate/forever person turned 18 today!!!! happy birthday my love, 18 never looked so good ;)."
May 15, 2021: JoJo and Kylie continued to show off their love on social media when JoJo stitched a TikTok video asking users to "tell me you have a literal golden retriever GF [without] telling me you have a literal golden retriever gf." We then see a video of JoJo walking through the super market, pushing her cart, with Kylie is wrapped around her like a koala. JoJo captioned the video, "🥰🥰🥰 And I love her more than everythinggggg:)."
April 26, 2021: JoJo revealed the struggle of a long-distance relationship when she posted a picture crying on her Instagram Stories. "I. Don't. Like. Saying. Goodbye 😭," the pic read.
Upon seeing the photo, some fans initially assumed the couple had broken up, but JoJo quickly clarified the situation on her Instagram Stories.
"You guys are confused why I was crying on my last story and I just have to clarify, nothing happened, we just are long distance and we had to say goodbye today and I'm sad," JoJo said. "It happens every time we say goodbye and I wish we didn't have to ever, but we do and it just makes when we get to say hi to each other even more special."
JoJo admitted that she would be crying for awhile, even after she finished filming the video. "It's just the reality of long distance," she said. "It's very very very hard, but it's the most worth it ever."
That same day, JoJo also posted a sweet pic with Kylie where the pair is wearing matching Buzz Lightyear gear at Disneyland. "I love you to infinity and beyond:)❤️🚀," she captioned the Instagram.
April 8, 2021: JoJo took the opportunity to praise Kylie while presenting the award for Outstanding Children's Programming at the 32nd GLAAD Media Awards.
"I recently just came out as a part of the LGBTQ community," JoJo said in the beginning of her speech. "I have the best, most amazing wonderful girlfriend in the entire world who makes me so so so happy and that is all that matters."
April 7, 2021: In an interview with People, JoJo revealed that she considers her sexuality to be "Ky-sexual," in honor of her girlfriend.
February 14, 2021: JoJo and Kylie celebrated their first Valentine's Day together and they shared their celebration on Instagram. JoJo shared a post in honor of the day and, of course, it included the sweetest caption.
"It’s my first valentines dayyyy!!🥰" she wrote. "No one in the world makes me as happy as this girl does. I’m so thankful to have fallen in love with the most perfect person ever who makes me smile 24/7. I love you more than you’ll ever know!❤️"
JoJo also shared Kylie's Valentine's Day gift for her, a sweatshirt that reads "Warning I am taken. Don't flirt with me it's for your own good."
Kylie, meanwhile, posted a photo of JoJo on her story, writing, "getting to spend Valentine's Day [with] the BEST human on earth."
February 8, 2021: JoJo celebrated her one-month anniversary with Kylie on Instagram. "After being my best friend for over a year, January 8th 2021 I got to start calling this exceptional human my Girlfriend..." she wrote in the captioned. "And Since then I’ve been the happiest I have ever been! She seriously is the most loving, supportive, happiest, protective, and just the most beautiful perfect person in the world. And I get to call her mine! Happy one month to my girl! I love you more and more everyday!❤️"
JoJo also shared some pics with Kylie and an adorable video of the pair singing Justin Bieber in the car.
JoJo posted a TikTok for their anniversary as well. "I did it!!😭❤️ " she captioned the video. "My human. It’s been 1 month since my best friend asked me to be her girlfriend, and it’s been the best month ever. I love you☁️."
Kylie posted for the milestone too. "Fall in love with your best friend, guys," she wrote in the caption of a post geotagged as "Heaven on Earth." "It’s THE BEST feeling in the entire world. here’s to one month with my favorite human :) i love you sharky ♡"
February 4, 2021: JoJo went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where she revealed that she has "the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world" and it was actually her girlfriend who encouraged her to come out.
January 8, 2021: JoJo and Kylie started dating on January 8th, though they were friends for over a year before that.
December 25, 2020: Before they were even dating, Kylie joined the Siwa family on a trip to Disneyland together over Christmas.
