Check Your Freezer! Over 430,000 Pounds of Chicken Recalled
After a consumer complaint July 27, 2018, Wayne Farms LLC of Decatur, Alabama, has recalled approximately 438,960 pounds of frozen, fully cooked chicken products. The products may be contaminated with “extraneous materials,” specifically metal pieces, according to the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). This is a Class I Recall meaning it’s a health hazard situation with reasonable probability that use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.

The ready-to-eat chicken products were produced on dates between July 4 and July 17, 2018 and have been shipped to distributors, restaurants, and processing locations nationwide. All products being recalled have the establishment number “P-20214” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
