Check out the coolest outfits we spotted in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood
You can find every type of trend and style in NYC’s SoHo. In this episode of In The Know: Fit Check, fashionista and influencer Aimee Kelly (@byaimeekelly) takes us through the chic neighborhood to show us which fashion trends are taking over. Aimee says this area is a fashion paradise – and her favorite place to seek styling inspiration.
“SoHo is a diverse world, different vibes, different styles, all in one palace,” Aimee says.
Aimee guides us along the SoHo streets and chats with stylish New Yorkers to learn more about their fashion philosophies. First, she stops Birdeaux, who wears a thrifted pinstripe blazer, an antique belt and Maison Margiela Tabi boots. Birdeaux put the outfit together for an interview.
Another New Yorker, Cadeysa, wears an outfit inspired by Y2K throwback styles. The denim-on-denim look features thrifted jeans, a thrifted tee, a Levi’s jacket and Adidas Superstar sneakers. “I really like something that I can say, ‘Only I have this, it’s one-of-a-kind,” Cadeysa says of thrifting.
“What do you think inspires the fashion in SoHo?” Aimee asks a New Yorker named Molly.
“What I love about it is it really feels liberating,” Molly says. “It feels like you can truly wear whatever you want. You’re never going to be the craziest person on the street.”
