The 2023 BET Awards didn't miss a beat without a host for its celebration of 50 years of hip hop. Taraji P. Henson has hosted the last two year but due to the ongoing WGA strike there were no writers and no writers means no scripts this year. Viewers still got an enjoyable show broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The 2023 BET Awards will feature performances by 69 Boyz, Big Daddy Kane, Chief Keef, DJ Unk, E-40, Fast Life Yungstaz & Easton (F.L.Y.), Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Kid ‘N Play, MC Lyte, Percy “Master P” Miller, Remy Ma, Soulja Boy, The Sugarhill Gang, Trick Daddy, Trina, Tyga, Uncle Luke, Warren G, Ying Yang Twins and Yo-Yo.

The 2023 BET Awards will broadcast LIVE at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on BET, BET+ and Paramount+.
