The weather outside is not yet frightful, but that could be soon to come.
But the good news is, there are restaurants, breweries and wineries that have heated outdoor seating, including heat lamps and fire pits, willing to serve you even when it’s really cold.
So you can enjoy the outdoors and stay warm and cozy. Sure, you can always stay inside if that’s your choice, but having plenty of options is a great thing.
Here are some places to consider:
Auburn Road Vineyard & Winery, Pilesgrove
Sip on local wine while bundled up in a borrowed blanket beside fire pits at Auburn Road Vineyard & Winery.
There is cozy, covered outdoor seating where guests can enjoy live entertainment.
You can also make a reservation for wine and chocolate tastings.
While guests can bring their own blankets, outside foods, beverages, chairs, table decorations or balloons are not allowed.

blueplate, Mullica Hill
The Mullica Hill restaurant has a gazebo-like structure, with a rustic barn look that seats about 70 people. Guests can enjoy their farm-to-table fare outdoors while staying cozy.
Heaters are scattered throughout to combat the cold weather. A special heating system allows heat to radiate down from the ceiling of the covered space.
The outdoor seating with heat is located behind the restaurant and is open when weather is permitting. It is decorated for the holidays.
Owner Jim Malaby expanded his outdoor dining set up a few years ago.

Carlucci’s Waterfront Grill, Mount Laurel
A large outdoor dining area and tent features heat lamps and cool lighting. The area can seat about 150 people.
It makes for a comfortable, festive evening for restaurant-goers.
The outdoor space offers views of the Rancocas Creek as it sits right at the edge of the waterway.
Carlucci’s offers fine Italian dining.

Glasstown Brewing Co., Millville
Located at The Millville Airport within the Army Airfield Historic District, the brewing company opened in 2013.
The large outside area is open year-round and features at least six table fire pits, a central, larger fire pit and a heat lamp.
Get comfortable and bring a blanket and cuddle up, like some customers do.
There is plenty of outdoor lighting, too.

Merryman's Pub, Pitman
Located in the former Pitman National Bank in the heart of the downtown, guests can dine outdoors year-round.
The sidewalk dining area features heat lamps and patio tables with umbrellas.
The menu offers everything from cheesesteak eggrolls to fried calamari to roasted Brussels to fried pickle chips. The main menu offers burgers, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, nachos, tacos and more. How about a fish and chips platter or a steak and Guinness pie?

Ott’s Tavern, Delran, Voorhees
Onion rings, cheddar cheese balls, cheesesteak egg rolls, parmesan shrimp and crab dip are definitely comfort foods. Sounds good, right?
The Ott’s Delran location on Bridgeboro Road has plenty of televisions, seating and heat lamps throughout its enclosed deck to keep that comfort going. There is also general heating on the deck bar. Customers will stay nice and warm.

The Voorhees location has high-top tables outside with tower heaters on its back deck. There is also a firepit out front, which offers a covered area with a rain-proof awning and more tower heaters.

Renault Winery, Egg Harbor City
The winery offers fire pits located near the outdoor stage.
There also are garden fire pits a little further away from the stage area and ideal for larger groups.
Renault offers an indoor tasting room and an outdoor Champagne Patio Garden where guests can enjoy food and beverage offerings year-round.
Guests can book tables or reserve the VIP fire pits. Heaters also are scattered throughout the regular outdoor dining area.

Riverview, Burlington City
The nearby Delaware River offers opportunities for some scenic views or nice walks along the riverfront.
There will be some chilly nights, but for those who want to sit outside, there’s plenty of warmth with the fire pits to keep you extra cozy.
They can accommodate dozens of guests outdoors.

The award-winning Italian restaurant features authentic cuisine and a nice outdoor patio.

Tisha’s, Cape May
The quaint restaurant has been around for more than 30 years and is located on the Washington Street mall.
There is outdoor dining that is not completely enclosed but there are heat lamps to keep you warm during those cold days.
Some of the menu items include: short rib Bolognese, pork chops, chicken Milanese, sausage and broccoli rabe, peppered shrimp and crab cake, Thai salmon and shrimp and much more.
