The artwork was selected for inclusion in the show by Cheboygan Area Schools art teachers. First and second place awards for each grade level will be determined by a separate four-person jury of local artists.

The public is invited to the opening reception from 4-6 p.m. on April 24 in the lower level of the library. Prizes will be presented to the juried award winners.

In addition to the juried awards, the public can vote all week for their favorite works of art. At the end of the exhibition, the People’s Choice awards will be presented to the three students with the most votes: one each for the elementary, intermediate and high school age categories. The three winners will receive a trophy and their art will be featured in the publicity for next year’s Youth Art Show.
