Tips for Getting Cheaper Car Insurance

In 2020, the national average for the cost to insure the cheapest car in every state is $1,407 per year, or $117.25 per month.

If you live in certain states, however, you can either save on your insurance or end up paying a lot more than the national average. For instance, Maine has some of the lowest car insurance rates in the nation. The state is cheap because it has a small population and it’s largely rural.

Car insurance is the most expensive in Michigan. For instance, to insure a 2020 Chevrolet Express G2500 there, it will cost you $2,256 per year (or $188 per month). The insurance is more expensive because the state has a unique unlimited personal injury protection benefits system.

Along with getting one of the cheapest 2020 cars to insure, you may want to consider moving to Maine or another more affordable state to save big. You could also compare car insurance rates and practice safe driving to keep your premium low.
