For a few months now, we've been wondering what the relationship status is between Riverdale star Charles Melton and actress-director-writer Chase Sui Wonders. The two starred opposite one another in the 2022 short film Wake (which was written and directed by Chase), and have been seen out and about together in New York City, looking cute and cozy.
ICYMI, Charles started dating his Riverdale co-star Camila Mendes in 2018, but the couple split after about a year together. Rumors that they were back on began circulating in the summer of 2021, but it appears that Charles and Camila are completely over and he is now with Chase.

July 18, 2022: Chase and Charles Are Instagram Official
We officially have our first photo of Chase and Charles on the ‘gram. In an oh-so-sweet and sporty pic posted on the Riverdale actor’s Instagram account, Chase and Charles take in a baseball game, wearing matching Brooklyn Cyclones hats. The Bodies Bodies Bodies actress leans into Charles’s lap, as he wraps his arm around her waist. He simply captioned the pic, “🧢⚾️🤷♂️.”
Friends of the duo gushed over their cuteness in the comment section. “Loves!!,” wrote Emily in Paris star Ashley Park, while KJ Apa’s girlfriend and model Clara Berry penned, “Ouiiiiiii ❤️❤️❤️.”
April 22, 2022: The Two Are Seen Again in NYC
A little over a month after they first stepped out together, the rumored couple was seen again in New York City — and this time around, they looked a lot closer. In photos published by the Daily Mail, the duo grabbed coffee in the Big Apple and sat outside with what appears to be a friend. As they relaxed, Chase rested her head on Charles’s shoulder and wrapped her arms around him. She leans in to kiss Charles’s cheek, and he then kisses her forehead. Walking out and about in the area, they held hands, embraced, and at one point, Chase jumped on Charles’s back. So cute. ❤️
March 15, 2022: Chase and Charles Are First Spotted Together
On a chilly late-winter day in New York City, Chase and Charles are first photographed hanging out together. In photos obtained by E! News, the two walked side-by-side in the coziest-looking outfits. Chase wore a navy blue sweatsuit, black sneakers, and a black jacket, while Charles rocked a black sweatshirt and gym shorts, printed fleece jacket, white sneakers, and sunnies.
“They kept close, and appeared to be comfortable with one another,” a source revealed to E! News at the time.
