Charlie Hunnam revealed that he auditioned for Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

Though it doesn't appear to be a standout memory, as Hunnam told Entertainment Tonight, "I had forgotten that" when asked if it was true.

He revealed that it was a close call, saying, "I got to the point where I was meeting George Lucas". "I think there was probably 2/3 actors they were considering," he said.

But Hunnam didn't remember much more than the fact that he "was a little bit awkward" and left the meeting thinking, "I'm definitely not getting that role".

So, in a galaxy far, far away (in an alternate universe), Hunnam would've graced the big screen as Anakin Skywalker.

However, he's in the Zac Snyder universe now, starring as Kai in Rebel Moon, which just landed on Netflix.

Hunnam could not be more enthusiastic about working on a Snyder set, likening the director to "a dude in his garage building a go-kart". "He is just in it", the actor said, going on to wax lyrical about Snyder's collaborative approach.

The actor may not have made it to the Star Wars universe, but he certainly seems to be enjoying life in the Snyder-verse.
