A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Is Airing This Month

There’s another Peanuts special headed to a television screen near you, and this one will arrive just in time for Thanksgiving. According to a press release from ABC, the Peanuts classic “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” is scheduled to air on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” first aired in 1973. In the half-hour special, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang get ready to celebrate the holiday with their families and friends. Peppermint Patty invites herself to Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving feast, but things go awry when Snoopy and Woodstock get involved. Instead of the expected turkey, toast and popcorn are served, much to the chagrin of Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty. But with a little help from their friends, a happy holiday is eventually had by all.

We’re looking forward to tuning into “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” on November 27 at 8 p.m. EST. (Check local listings to confirm.) The program will be followed by “This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers,” a special ABC describes this way: "The year is 1620. After 65 grueling, sea-tossed days, the Pilgrims are in view of America’s shores–and Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew are with them as they experience firsthand the lifestyle of the early settlers and celebrate the first Thanksgiving."

In the meantime, there are other places you can watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” to get yourself in the holiday spirit.
