'A Charlie Brown Christmas' Is Coming to PBS For One Night Only

The holiday season isn't complete until you hang out with Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts crew.
Even decades after its release, A Charlie Brown Christmas remains a holiday classic — and now, it's become a beloved holiday tradition enjoyed by all generations. And while you can easily fill your weekends with all the new holiday releases (we're getting 70+ Christmas movies from Hallmark and Lifetime alone), there's something to be said for embracing the warm fuzzies that this timeless movie brings.
But despite being one of the most cherished Christmas movies of all time, it can sometimes feel impossible to track down (unless you're one of the rare few who still has it on DVD). Where to Watch A Charlie Brown Christmas
Plan accordingly: A Charlie Brown Christmas is airing on Sunday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. on PBS and PBS Kids. That's right, it's only coming to TV for one night only.
If you miss the live showing (or want to get in the holiday spirit before December 19 rolls around), you're in luck because A Charlie Brown Christmas is available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+ with a paid subscription ($4.99 a month) or free 7-day trial. Last year, they let everyone watch the holiday special for free from December 11 to 13 — no payment necessary. At this point, it's too early to tell if Apple TV+ plans to do the same this year.
But if you end up having to pay for a subscription, it'll be well worth it because a new Peanuts special, For Auld Lang Syne, will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on December 10. The New Year's Eve-themed movie is the perfect follow-up to A Charlie Brown Christmas, so you might as well block out a whole night to watch 'em back to back.
Is A Charlie Brown Christmas on Netflix, Hulu or Disney+?
Back in 2020, Peanuts signed a deal with Apple TV+, making it the exclusive streaming service for all of their old movies and new programming. That means, you won't be able to find A Charlie Brown Christmas (or any other Peanuts movie, for that matter) on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu or other streaming services. You can, however, pick up the DVD on Amazon, so you and your family can watch it whenever you want.
