Charli D'Amelio Makes History As The First TikTok Star To Reach 100 Million Followers
Charli D'Amelio has reached 100 million followers on TikTok.
Charli's milestone comes after she lost followers for being rude to a personal chef in her "Dinner with the D'Amelios" YouTube video.
Charli D'Amelio is the literal queen of TikTok, and today she has officially come to collect her crown. As of like, yesterday, Charli reached a major milestone in her career—she became the first TikTok star to surpass 100 million followers on the platform. Not bad for a 16 year old!
Charli shared the news on Twitter, writing, "IS THIS REAL LIFE RIGHT NOW...100 MILLION PEOPLE SUPPORTING ME!! I TRULY CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS REAL." After collecting her thoughts, Charli hopped on TikTok to thank her followers for helping her reach this massive goal. "Thank you guys so so so much, I cannot believe that there is 100 million supporters following me right now," she said. "That is insane, oh my goodness....I feel like this is a dream, kind of waiting to wake up."

Charli's milestone comes after she faced backlash along with her sister Dixie D'Amelio for their "Dinner with the D'Amelios" video last week, in which critics called Charli and Dixie rude and disrespectful because of their attitude towards a personal chef who made a meal for them. The incident resulted in Charli losing a million TikTok followers, which she quickly made up.
"You can hate on me for whatever I've done, but the fact that all of this is happening because of a misunderstanding, like, I just feel like that's not okay," she said in a livestream after getting hate for the video. "And if this is the community that I'm in and the community that I put myself in, I don't know if I want to do that anymore."
