Charli D'Amelio gained a dedicated fanbase of over 145 million followers (!!) after going viral for her dancing videos on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the 18-year-old star is potentially taking her talents to the iconic Dancing With the Stars dancefloor — and she isn't doing it alone. According to a report by TMZ, Charli and her mom, Heidi, will be on the 31st season of the dancing competition show.

The mother-daughter duo won't be partners, but will be competing against each other and other celebrity cast members who have yet to be revealed. Production sources also dished toTMZ that the latest season of Dancing With the Stars will stream on Disney+ as opposed to airing on the ABC network as it did in its first 30 seasons.

Charli not only grew up as a dancer but has already gained experience with DWTS judge Derek Hough and his sister, Julianne Hough on their show, Step Into...The Movies, where they performed a routine inspired by the 1987 flick, Dirty Dancing.

Derek even vouched for Charli to be cast on DWTS in a 2021 interview with Hollywood Life, saying "I think it'd be really cool to see one of the D'Amelio sisters on there. Charli's a really talented dancer and she's obviously crushing it in the content, TikTok world. I think she would be really good."

Well, looks like Derek's dreams for the D'Amelios may be coming true. Disney/ABC and the D'Amelios' reps have yet to confirm the news.
