  • Charli D’Amelio officially has a reality TV show in the works with her family!

  • The D’Amelio Show is set to premiere on Hulu in 2021.

Update: December 18, 2020

IT’S OFFICIAL! Charli, Dixie, and their parents are getting the reality TV show treatment and will be appearing on our screens next year courtesy of Hulu. According to Deadline, the show will be titled The D’Amelio Show, which will be an eight-part series that follows the lives of the D’Amelio family as they “navigate their sudden rise to fame.”

In a statement, D’Amelio patriarch Mark said, “We are excited to be joining the Hulu family with a unique behind-the-scenes look into our life.…We’ve always been a very close family, but this experience has brought us even closer and we’re really excited to share a glimpse of our lives with the world. Many people create impressions of us based off of short content, a few minutes or even seconds. But now, we’re looking forward to sharing a side that you likely don’t get to see on our social channels.”

“Two years ago, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio were virtually unknown outside of their town, and now [they] have over 100 million fans who tune in daily for their every move. Every teen on social media dreams of becoming famous, but what happens when the reality hits?” said Belisa Balaban, VP of documentaries at Hulu. “The D’Amelio Show joins our growing slate of docuseries about the human experience and we’re incredibly excited to partner with the D’Amelio family to offer viewers an authentic look at the complicated lives of these two relatable young women thrust to the top of the social media algorithm.”

2021 can’t come soon enough, if you ask me!

Original story: April 10, 2020

There is literally nothing Charli D’Amelio can do wrong right now. Homegirl has 47.1 million followers on TikTok and 13.9 million followers on Instagram, and those numbers will only continue to grow as her platform does. So it’s kinda no wonder that she *might* have plans to influence the masses through actual television. I mean, the only thing that’s different is the size of the screen, right?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Charli talked about the possibility of having a reality show with her sister, Dixie, and her parents, Heidi and Marc D’Amelio. Although she didn’t confirm it, Charli didn’t outright deny it either.

“I mean, definitely something that would be super fun,” she said. “For people to kind of see what goes on when we’re not just posting TikToks. I feel like no one really gets to see, but people are always talking about how they think our family dynamic is pretty cool.”

Charli also recognized that fans would probably love to see her and her family on television. “They love when we go live, so that’s super fun,” she added. “I mean, it’s really whatever helps us showcase what we’re really like. Because people only really see us, like, dancing or lip-syncing to songs. So it’s really fun. Maybe try some new things.”

Thankfully, Charli’s parents were able to give a more concrete answer. When asked if they’re working on a project, Marc gave a firm yes, saying that the finer details just need to be worked out. “We’re figuring out all that stuff right now,” he said. “This has all kinda happened all really quickly. But we think if we’re gonna do it, we’ll go all in with it. And like Charli said, let everyone get to know us a little bit more closely. So we’re in the process of working it out right now.”

Fingers crossed for a pilot episode in 2021!
