Joey Graziadei is the next star of The Bachelor.

Charity Lawson’s second place finisher lost out to Dotun Olubeko on Monday night’s The Bachelorette finale and got his heart broken.

But on the live broadcast, Joey was announced for the upcoming Season 28 of The Bachelor, which returns in 2024!

It’s a great consolation prize for the handsome tennis pro, 28, who follows Season 27 hunk Zach Shallcross.

As the ABC press release said, Joey "won over Bachelor Nation with his honesty and openness to find lasting love." He "will be handing out roses when the season premieres next year on ABC."

Viewers got to know Joey's devoted uncle Joe and other family members during his hometown visit with Charity on The Bachelorette Season 20.

An athletic dude, Joey teaches tennis to tourists in Hawaii and also loves hiking, surfing and watching sunsets.

Fans on social media chimed in sharing their love for Joey and hoped he would become the next Bachelor.

The emotional guy from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, won Charity's heart and wanted to propose to her during Monday night's The Bachelorette finale—but she stopped him.

During their final date, Joey and Charity drank champagne and Joey showed her he had framed their special poem from an earlier New Orleans one-on-one.

He told cameras on the Season 20 Bachelorette final episode, "I'm going to propose to Charity. I have no doubts about that." But when he tried to get down on one knee, she stopped him.

Charity said to surprised Joey, "People search their whole lives searching for something like this... You've been very consistent in the love that you've shown and those things I've never experienced before. I've never questioned how deep our love is. I know it's there and I feel it.

"But as crazy as it sounds I've found love that's deeper with someone else." That meant Joey's love rival, Dotun, had won!

Charity told disappointed Joey, "It won't make sense in this moment and it's hard, it's hard to get these words out because the truth is Joey, I'm in love with you."

She cried and Joey gave her a hug, telling her, "It's OK."

"My love for you is truly never going to go away. I want your happiness," Charity told Joey even while sending him home. "I truly don't want to think about the fact that our love is going to end today. I'm truly broken."

Joey told her, "I will always have love for you, Charity. She replied, "I will always have it for you."

Joey reflected on his way home, "I want love bad. I just want to ask the universe, 'When is it going to happen for me?'"

Well, now, Joey will have lots of women to choose from as the star of The Bachelor!

While it's not clear exactly when his season will premiere next year, The Bachelor typically begins in January.

Meanwhile, fans can look forward to sister shows Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 and the new The Golden Bachelor, starring Gerry Turner, debuting on ABC on Sept. 28.
