Well, Charity Lawson's season of The Bachelorette is officially over. After a long time coming, Dotun Olubeko finally got down on one knee and proposed to the Bachelorette. Of course, this happily ever after didn't come without its fair share of twists and turns in the final episode.

ICYMI, Charity was the lead for the show's 20th season, but was also a contestant on Zach Shallcross' Bachelor season. She was eliminated during Hometowns, but that left Charity even more ready find her soulmate this season, and find she did!

Thanks to Reality Steve, the ending of The Bachelorette wasn't exactly a surprise, but I have to say the finale episode did make me a little nervous. Joey Graziadei really hit it off with the Lawsons, and Dotun...didn't exactly.

Plus, while I personally felt the chemistry between Dotun and Charity was glaringly obvious—Charity didn't seem totally sure until the final moments. I suppose that's what makes good reality television, though!

And while The Bachelorette is over, there's a lot of Bachelor Nation excitement to look forward to. Yup. The finale also gave some more insight into The Golden Bachelor, the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, and, most excitingly, The next Bachelor. Let's get to it.

Who Charity end up with on The Bachelorette 2023?

ABC's official Bachelorette IG post revealed that Dotun won Charity's final rose—and her heart:

If you're looking for even more Bachelorette deets, Women's Health has you covered. Below, find everything to know about this seasonfrom the next Bachelor to what's in store for Charity and Dotun.

Are Dotun and Charity still engaged?

Love is real. Charity found her very own Noah Calhoun (ICYDK, this season's Bachelorette loves The Notebook) on the show. She's been properly boo'ed up for more than three months already.

Charity is currently engaged to Dotun, and they seem super happy. It seemed pretty obvious from the start that Dotun would be the winner of The Bachelorette, but last night's finale kept the audience guessing until the very end.

Still, the couple got engaged, and are planning a wedding, per PEOPLE. Sadly, it won't be for a few more years. The couple has plans to get hitched in either 2025 or 2026. And, more exciting news: they may have two ceremonies—one traditional Nigerian, and one standard American fair.

For right now, it seems Charity and Dotun are just excited to begin their public relationship after keeping it under wraps for so long.

“The fact that we don't have to hide anymore is going to be great," Charity told PEOPLE. "Simple things — going on a walk down the street, going to the grocery store, going to a concert, being able to experience the things that brings us the most joy together — I am super excited about. We don't care about anything else besides just being together.”

What does Dotun do for a living?

Charity's fiancé is a health professional. He currently works as an integrative medicine specialist, according to his ABC biography. He also lives in Brooklyn, New York, but his family currently lives in California.

Fun fact: his dream job is apparently the head of the CIA. Very cool, Dotun!

Aaron's comeback didn't mean much.

Yup. That "To Be Continued," from last week's episode as predicted, meant nothing. Charity took Aaron on a date, but it sort of felt like filler content around all the real excitement of the finale. It was a little funny to see how stressed Joey and Dotun got by Aaron's surprise appearance—but that's basically all it was.

Charity did somewhat of a fake out during the rose ceremony, and called Aaron's name...only to send him home. I have to give major props to Aaron for making the trek all the way to Fiji just to get put in a rejection van once again. He does, at least, get a spot on the next season of Bachelor in Paradise! Everyone wins.

Joey is the next Bachelor.

Everyone saw this coming. My skepticism toward Joey as the obvious choice for the next Bachelor was completely washed away during the finale. He deserves it, and he'll be perfect for it!

Plus, during the After The Final Rose segment of last night's finale, Charity and Joey both seemed very happy for each other. The Bachelorette also said she has so much love and respect for Joey—so who else would be more fit for the next Bachelor?

What else has happened during the finale?

Charity had a really tough choice to make in the final episode. She introduced both Joey and Dotun to her family—which notably did not include her brother, Nehemiah. Instead, Charity's parents, and sister, Mia, gave their approval of the final contestants. They didn't explicitly say who they preferred—but it was clearly (very awkwardly) Joey.

It was jarring to see Dotun in such a vulnerable position (a.k.a. not the immediate favorite). However, the choice was ultimately Charity's to make, and it seemed like Dotun won her over during their final date.

Joey gave Charity a framed copy of the poem from New Orleans, which was super romantic. Still, the vibes were evident during Dotun and Charity's final moments together before the proposal. Plus, he gives her a locket with baby photos of each of them. I'm sorry, Joey. Locket trumps framed poem every time!

Other finale highlights include the inevitable close ups of the Bachelorette engagement rings (is it bad that I preferred Joey's pick to Dotun's?) and some sneak peeks of the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise.

As was exposed during the Men's Tell All, Kat Izzo, notable former Bachelor villain, and Brayden Bowers will link up during this season of BiP. They truly find love in a hopeless place. Last night, there was another hilarious clip of the pair getting wiped out by a wave mid-makeout session.

I might have to watch this season!

Bachelorette 2023 Spoiler: Who makes it to the final four?

Here's a run down of everyone's fate, post Bachelorette finale:

  • Aaron: Fourth Place. Aaron was eliminated during hometowns, but he makes a return to win Charity back. His fate is a stint of Bachelor in Paradise.

  • Xavier: Third Place. Xavier was eliminated during the overnights, because he basically admitted what Charity had been afraid of all along (he's a cheater). It's unclear if he'll make an appearance on an upcoming Bachelor Nation show.

  • Joey: Second Place. Joey, sadly, was finally eliminated during the finale. Charity's 'I love you' can only go so far. He came down to the final two, but he will be back (read on for more deets).

Where was Charity's season filmed?

This season of the Bachelorette had a few major locations. Of course, the season started as most begin, in the Bachelor Mansion in California, but hit eight different places while filming. Here's a list of every spot this season:

  • Weeks 1-3—Los Angeles, California

  • Week 4— Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington

  • Week 5— New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Week 6—Hometown dates in Texas, Ohio, California, and Pennsylvania

  • Overnights and Finale—Fiji/California (After The Final Rose)
