The first trailer for Magic Mike's Last Dance, the epic conclusion to Channing Tatum's stripper saga, has just dropped—and it promises to end the trilogy with a bang.

Following on from 2012's Magic Mike and 2015's Magic Mike XXL, the third movie picks up with Mike Lane (Tatum) having left his job as an exotic dancer behind, now making a living tending bar—that is, until a passionate encounter with a new character played by Salma Hayek, during which he dusts off his old talents and gives her a private dance.

From there, the two set off to London, where they work together to put on the biggest show of their entire careers, in a case of art imitating life: the stage show in the film appears to be based on the real-life Magic Mike stage show. The film certainly looks set to be the biggest instalment in the franchise so far, with the trailer showing glimpses of dance sequences set all around the city. In fact, Tatum himself—whose own experiences as a stripper provided the inspiration for the first Magic Mike movie—has said that this will be "the Super Bowl of stripper movies."

Tatum first confirmed that he'd be reprising the titular role almost exactly a year ago, sharing a photo of the first page of the script on social media and revealing that Steven Soderbergh would also be returning to direct after sitting out Magic Mike XXL. This came after he first got fans' hopes up by posting clips of himself dancing for the first time in six years.

While Magic Mike's Last Dance will almost definitely be Tatum's swansong performance as Mike Lane, Soderbergh has spoken about the possibility of an extended Magic Mike cinematic universe, telling Variety: "There are stories that can be told that have the same sort of ethos and are tackling the same subjects that still involve dance but don’t have Mike Lane in them."
