It’s time to don your little black dress and tweed jacket and make your way to Brooklyn.

Chanel is opening the Lucky Chance Diner in Williamsburg to celebrate the launch of its newest perfume and boutique in the neighborhood. While you may associate diners with BLTs and disco fries, this high-end version is meant to immerse you in the Parisian fashion house’s exploration of scent.

Decked out in pastel pinks and greens, the Lucky Chance Diner draws inspiration from the Chance Eau Fraîche perfume. Created by Chanel’s in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, the floral fragrance includes notes of citron, jasmine, and teak wood. It’s certainly a more refreshing scent than the one typically found in your local greasy spoon.

At the diner, which will be open from September 8 to 10, guests will be treated to what the brand is calling a “personalized scent discovery,” either at the retro-inspired booths or the swivel stools at the counter. In the back room, you’ll find interactive activities including a photo op with a life-size Chance bottle. And you can snack on diner-inspired treats or play games in the outdoor garden. Of course, bottles of perfume will also be available to buy.

The Lucky Chance Diner furthers Chanel’s Brooklyn presence, after the company opened its fragrance and beauty boutique just down the street in June. At the 2,015-square-foot space, customers can sample Chanel’s complete range of fragrance, makeup, and skincare products, and even try on an exclusive selection of the brand’s eyewear.

Of late, Chanel has been reinterpreting classics and bringing them into the modern day: Case in point, the brand’s latest high jewelry collection featured elegant pieces made to look like its iconic tweed fabric. And now the fashion house is turning an old-school Williamsburg diner into a pastel-covered property made for Instagram posts and TikTok videos.

Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the diner will be free for guests to explore. Reservations are recommended, but a limited number of walk-ins will also be accepted. It may be a bit more difficult to get into than any old diner, but it’s sure to be a much chicer experience too.
