The 'Chainsaw Man' Anime is Coming to Crunchyroll

Surrounded by heavy anticipation, Crunchyroll has now announced that the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man will be joining one of its upcoming seasons. Acquiring the streaming rights, the series will be simulcast from Japan, subtitled and dubbed, for more than 200 countries and territories around the world. Dubs will include English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German.

Adapting the popular manga serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the MAPPA-produced anime will be directed by Ryū Nakayama.

Chainsaw Man centers around a supernatural world overrun by Devils manifested from the collective fears of humans. A teenage devil hunter named Denji enters a contract with his pet Devil, Pochita, and becomes resurrected to become "Chainsaw Man."

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as "Chainsaw Man" – a man with a devil's heart.
