Chad Muska documenting himself feeding wild gophers on his farm is the best thing on Instagram right now

Why are these videos so satisfying to watch? Why am I somewhat attached to these wild gophers named "Dig Doug" that live on Chad Muska's farm in Ohio? Why am I literally writing an article on it?

Well, before you get all mad—trust me. I have my reasons.

First, Chad Muska was (is) a pioneer. I mean...he's literally "The Muska." A legend, a major influence on skateboarding culture, a groundbreaker, an innovator. That list can respectfully go on...

But my admiration for Muska spans much farther than all the incredible things he's accomplished on his skateboard; far beyond the influence he had on an entire generation of skateboarders.

The dude moved to Ohio and became a farmer (a good one, too). Not many people—and certainly no other pro skaters—can say the same. He's pursuing his love for art. (His studio barn is incredible!) He posts updates from the farm constantly, from his studio often...and lately, we've been introduced to Dig Doug, a wild gopher that he feeds and films, and I can't help but be more stoked on Chad than I've ever been.

There's just something so calm and genuine about him. Very zen. And I'm all for it.

I love seeing legends like Geoff Rowley in the comments saying, "Solid work Dig Doug." See! We're all involved.

From fulfilling the dream to feeding gophers on his farm, Muska is truly one of a kind. For more Dig Doug content, swing over to Chad's Instagram. Trust me...your appetite will be fed, just like Dig Doug.
