In September, CFDA/Fashion Fund finalist Rio Uribe, the 29-year-old founder and designer of Gypsy Sport, told Yahoo Style, “No one is left out of the Gypsy Sport brand. It includes everyone. It’s the people’s brand and I think that people can recognize that.”

The people have. Or the people of District 12, at least.

Buried in Vogue’s CFDA/Fashion Fund portfolio is this little nugget: his latest commission is making hats for the new Hunger Games movie, The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2. “I really hope Katniss wears one,” Uribe tells Vogue.

So while the usual faces—Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, etc.—star in the portfolio, and some lovely fashion person will certainly hang off Uribe’s arm when the winners are announced next month, there’s a good chance he’ll see his designs atop Jennifer Lawrence’s head in what’s sure to be one of the most watched movies of the year. And that’s pretty much the ultimate prize.
