CFDA Awards 2018: Kaia Gerber Wears Alexander Wang

Kaia Gerber turned heads at the 2018 CFDA Awards, wearing a button-up crop top and high-waisted patterned shorts by Alexander Wang. The top was full sleeved but showed off her stomach and she wore black tights under her shorts with high heels. It's like she went to bed but had to run out of the house and look really chic at the same time.

Kaia just walked his Spring 2019 show Sunday night, so it’s not totally surprising that she rocked an ensemble by the fashion designer.

And of course, Kaia is a total pro on the red carpet — after all, she’s pretty much fashion royalty thanks to having supermodel Cindy Crawford for a mom. The apple clearly doesn’t fall far from the tree because Kaia has already walked in pretty much every major fashion show.

On the first official evening of Paris Fashion Week, Kaia was cast in the Saint Laurent show wearing, not one, not two, but three looks over the course of the event. And for the Chanel show, the 16-year-old hit the runway wearing a black lace cocktail dress styled with hot bright pink Opera gloves. The whole look was very Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and the gloves were the perfect pop of color amongst a sea of black-tie looks.

Off the runway, Kaia has been known to keep it comfy chic. When she celebrated her 16th birthday last fall and officially got her driver’s license, she wore blue camo cargo pants, a cropped gray tee, and a red sweatshirt, proving that even globe-trotting models need a day off from rocking couture.
