In the winter, there are so many factors that can wreak havoc on our skin. Dry, cold weather, indoor heaters and overly hot showers can all leave skin so parched and flaky that normal moisturizers might not be able to restore lasting hydration.

This Cetaphil Body Cream, however, is made specifically to pack that extra punch. It's formulated with ultra-hydrating ingredients like sweet almond oil, vitamin E, vitamin B5, glycerin and niacinamide, which work together to bind moisture to the skin and lock it in. In fact, it's clinically proven to restore your skin's moisture barrier — the key to keeping your skin hydrated — in a week, while offering up to 48 hours of hydration.

Also, the formula was also developed to be hypoallergenic and free of fragrances, sulfides and parabens to prevent any skin reactions. Good news for sensitive-skin types. Testing by the folks at Cetaphil showed that this body cream defends against five signs of skin sensitivity.

In case there are any doubts left in your mind that this moisturizer should be your new go-to, reviewers with dry skin are also loving it.

"This is at least an 11 [on a scale of 1 to 10]," one reviewer gushed. "This is perfect for sensitive skin. No smell, goes on great, works great on rashy skin like mine, and is a wonder to have. I buy the multi packs since I know I will use it all. If you have sensitive and dry skin and are bothered with occasional rashes, this is the stuff for you. My dermatologist is the one who recommended it. Great advice."

"We use this product for sensitive, dry, aging skin," another added. "Our physician recommended it to us. Our skin has improved greatly since using this product. No more scaly, dry skin. The consistency is thick, yet it applies smoothly without a lot of effort."

The formula is so powerful that some reviewers have even been touting this Cetaphil Body Cream as a good over-the-counter solution for psoriasis.

According to Dr. Joshua Zeichner, Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, psoriasis is best described as an "inflammation in the skin leading to scaly, thick plaques that typically occur on the elbows and knees," though that inflammation can occur anywhere on the body. While more severe cases of psoriasis may require medical attention, Dr. Zeichner says that over-the-counter solutions can help with some mild cases. When looking for skin care ingredients, be sure to look for "calming, hydrating and exfoliating" treatments, he tells Yahoo Life.

For some shoppers, the combined vitamins and oils, plus the hypoallergenic formula of this cream has helped reduce the intense dry patches caused by their psoriasis.

"I use this for my face and body. It works for both. Does a reasonably good job at helping my psoriasis," one reviewer said. "I love that it doesn't have a smell to it. I can wear my perfume and moisturize anytime without combining scents."

"Bought this cream at suggestion of my dermatologist," another added. "It works really well to moisturize my skin where my psoriasis is occurring."

One reviewer mentions that after being diagnosed with both psoriasis and eczema, their derm recommended to pick this cream up. "It has done wonders on my body and also my face," they said. "...I put this one on at night ... and was amazed at how moisturizing it was to my face."
