Central Park Conservancy Hosts "Play for the Park" Tennis Tournament

On a fresh spring morning the Women’s Committee and Playground Partners of the Central Park Conservancy hosted a round-robin tennis tournament called “Play for the Park." The entrance to the courts was adorned with a fresh floral arch by famed floral designer Lewis Miller. Participants of the tournament were outfitted in chic skirts and dresses by Tory Sport, the event’s sponsor, and received coaching from tennis professional Patrick McEnroe. The two morning sessions were sold out and raised $155,000 to ensure that the 21 playgrounds of Central Park are cared for each day and provide the city’s families continue to have access to areas of safe and accessible play.
