Celine Dion's Sister Says They 'Can't Find Any Medicine That Works' in Health Update

Celine Dion's sister Claudette is giving fans an update on how the singer is dealing with her current health situation.
In an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, Claudette revealed that their sister, Linda, has moved into Celine's home, where she also lives with her three sons René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson—whom she shares with her late husband, Canadian music producer and singer, René Angélil—to aid in her care.
"When I call her and she's busy, I speak to my sister Linda who lives with her and tells me that she's working hard. She's listening to the top researchers in the field of this rare disease as much as possible," Claudette expressed.
As Parade previously reported, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer emotionally announced her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome in December, explaining how difficult life had gotten for her because of the ailment.
"Unfortunately these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk, and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to," Dion explained.
The condition is "a rare disorder of motor function characterized by involuntary stiffness of axial muscles and superimposed painful muscle spasms, which are often induced by startle or emotional stimuli," according to Mayo Clinic.
In the recent update on her health, her sister divulged that although the songstress wants to continue working while battling the rare neurological disorder, she "honestly" thinks "that she mostly needs to rest."

"She always goes above and beyond; she always tries to be the best and top of her game. At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It's important to listen to it," she said of Celine's decision to step away from performing and touring, adding, "It's innate to her, she's disciplined in every area of her life."
Claudette continued, stating that unfortunately, "We can't find any medicine that works, but having hope is important."
The 55-year-old officially cancelled all remaining dates that were scheduled for her Courage World Tour in May.
"I'm so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I'm working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you're 100 percent," she said in a statement at the time. "It's not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it's best that we cancel everything now until I'm really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I'm not giving up... and I can't wait to see you again."
