Celine is taking further steps to ensure your pooch is the best dressed at the park.

The French fashion house just unveiled a new collection of upscale dog accessories that will make your four-legged friend the envy of all others. Celine’s creative director Hedi Slimane originally started designing pet accessories for his dog, Elvis. After unveiling the inaugural line of petwear last year, the house has followed up with a fresh seasonal collection.

Capitalizing on Celine’s leatherworking expertise, the range showcases supple suedes and smooth calfskin. Some pieces are also crafted from the iconic Triomphe canvas because, well, pups appreciate a sturdy yet stylish material, too.

With prices ranging from $120 to $3,250, the pieces run the gamut from leashes and collars to dog carriers and waste bags. There are also a few items for cats, just in case you are more feline-inclined. Pet owners can expect the quality and finishing of Celine’s high-caliber clothing. The accessories feature Triomphe-engraved pyramid studs and metallic hardware with a gold or silver finish, for instance.
The comprehensive collection also includes accessories for the home. Think elegant bowls, beds, and blankets. In addition, there are brushes for grooming and toys for playing. Basically, it is everything your pet needs but elevated to the nth degree.

This season’s campaign once again spotlights Slimane’s pooch, Elvis, as Princess Caroline of Hanover’s two royally gorgeous dogs, Police and Eloïse.

Celine isn’t the only designer label creating high-end items for Fido, of course. The luxury pet market is exploding, with doggie designs from the likes of Burberry, Versace, Moncler, and Paul Smith up for grabs.

America is willing to shell out a lot of money for man’s best friend, too. Pet spending amounted to $136.8 billion in the U.S. last year, up nearly 11 percent from 2021, according to data released in March by the American Pet Products Association (APPA). Almost half of that dosh ($58.1 billion) was spent on foods and treats. It was the highest spending category, in fact, with the biggest increase at 16.2 percent. There is clearly a demand for accessories, though, and Celine is catering to it.
