Celebrity parents are pulling out all the stops with their kids’ Halloween costumes this year — we see you Kaley Cuoco! — but we are especially impressed with the grown-ups who got in on the action, too. (Many of them are actors after all!)
From recreating famous movie scenes to paying tribute to pop singers, there are many creative and unique family Halloween costumes this year. And while it’s probably too late to steal any of these ideas for your own matching family look, we can still admire the hardwork, imagination, and overall cuteness of these A-list family photos.

Kate Hudson was undead this Halloween in matching vampire costumes with fiancé Danny Fujikawa and their daughter Rani Rose, 5.

“Vampire family portraits 🧛♀️🧛♀️🧛 #happyhalloween,” she captioned a post on Instagram. Hudson and Fujikawa wore old fashioned black costumes, while Rani looked stunning in a red-and-black tulle dress. She shared a variety of photos, including many black-and-white options, and they totally nailed the spooky look!
Shemar Moore, Jesiree Dizon & Baby Frankie
Shemar Moore, his girlfriend Jesiree Dizon and their daughter Frankie, 9 months, celebrated Halloween by wearing matching skeleton costumes. Moore and Dizon even painted their faces to look more skull-like, and it was amazing!
Tamera Mowry, Adam Housley, Aden & Ariah
Tamera Mowry and her family channeled another famous family this Halloween: the Addams family! Mowry was Morticia Addams, dressed in a long black dress with her hair slicked back. Her husband Adam Housley was Gomez Addams in a black pin-striped suit with a hand on his shoulder. Their son Aden was Uncle Fester, with a black monk outfit and a lightbulb in his mouth. And their daughter Ariah was Wednesday Addams, dressed in a black dress with her hair in two pigtails. They looked spooky and kooky!
Tarek El Moussa, Heather Rae El Moussa & Baby Tristan
The El Moussas dressed up as cowboys this Halloween! Heather Rae El Moussa wore a denim skirt with a pink cowboy hat and matching bandana; Tarek El Moussa wore a black denim shirt, black cowboy hat, and red bandana; and 9-month-old Tristan wore white and brown outfit with a brown cowboy hat and red bandana. All three wore cowboy boots for the cute photo.
“This isn’t our first rodeo… but it IS Tristan’s 🤠👻❤️,” wrote Heather Rae. “Can’t believe it’s Tristan’s first ever Halloween and also he’s 9 months old today 🥹 Just missing Tay & Bray tonight but we’re ready to wrangle all the candy and show everyone that there’s a new sherrif in town 😜”
Ashley Tisdale, Christopher French & Jupiter
It was a curious Halloween for Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter, 2. “Happy Halloween from Curious Juju 🍌” the High School Musical alum captioned a photo with her daughter and husband Christopher French. Jupiter was dressed as Curious George in a monkey outfit with a red shirt; French wore all yellow as The Man in the Yellow Hat, and Tisdale had on a white lab coat as Professor Wiseman.
Hilaria Baldwin, Alec Baldwin & Their 7 Kids
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin and their seven kids pulled off an epic tribute to Beetlejuice this year. Alec dressed up as Adam Maitland (who he played in the original film), and Hilaria was Barbara Maitland (Geena Davis), both with creepy face masks on. One kid was dressed in a white-and-black striped suit as Beetlejuice (Michael Keeton). One girl was the red-dressed Lydia (Winona Ryder) and the other wore her iconic black dress. One little girl dressed as Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara), and two of the boys were deceased football players. One boy dressed as Adam before he died, and he looks just like his dad! The whole thing was creepy and cute.
“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!” Hilaria captioned the post. “I’ve been wanting to do this for years and finally got my act together…can’t figure out which is my fave… Maria and Edu…with his hair😭😂❤️!!!! saved maybe the best for the last slide: does Rafa kind of look like Alec from 1988 😂?? Let me know! And happy Halloween to all ✨..”
Paris Hilton, Carter Reum & Baby Phoenix
Nine-month-old Phoenix helped his mom pull off two famous looks this Halloween. In the first, Hilton was dressed as Britney Spears from the “Toxic” music video, with husband Carter Reum and baby Phoenix dressed as her pilots. In another, Hilton wore Katy Perry’s red outfit with mushroom hat from a Saturday Night Live performance, and Reum and Phoenix were her backup dancers dressed in matching mushrooms.
She even shared the cute moments on TikTok, writing, “Baby P slayed his first First Halloween. 🍄👶🏼❤️ #Sliving🎃His smile melts my heart 🥹Love him so much! 😍😥”
Kim Kardashian & North West
You think someone has a better costume than Kim Kardashian and her 10-year-old daughter North West? As if! The duo dressed as characters from the hit ‘90s movie Clueless. Kardashian was Cher (Alicia Silverstone), who wore a plaid yellow Dolce & Gabbana blazer and skirt with thigh-high white socks and blonde hair. North wore her long hair in braids with a black-and-white plaid skirt and blazer combo and matching straw hat that Dionne (Stacey Dash) famously wore. These two absolutely nailed it!
Bindi Irwin, Chandler Powell & Grace Warrior
Bindi Irwin, her husband Chandler Powell, and their daughter Grace, 2, dressed as characters from Jurassic Park this Halloween.
“Grace wanted to be “all the dinosaurs” this year for #Halloween,” the Australia Zoo conservationist wrote on Instagram. “Here we are… 🦖 Have a ROARing good spooky day.”
The cute picture featured Irwin as Ellie (Laura Dern), complete with her pink button-down shirt and shorts; Powell as Dr. Grant (Sam Neill) in a blue button down, red bandana, and pants; and Grace as a pterodactyl, T-rex, and a triceratops. The edited photo shows Grace in all three of her costumes, and it’s too cute.
Thomas Rhett & Lennon Love
Thomas Rhett dressed up with his daughter Lennon Love, 3, and dedicated a song to her! The “Angels” singer dressed as Bowser from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and his daughter Lennon was Princess Peach. He shared a video of himself singing “Peaches” to his smiling little girl, and it’s the cutest thing we’ve ever seen.
Rhett, also shares daughters Willa, 7, Ada, 6, and Lillie, 1, with wife Lauren Atkins. Other members of the family likely also wore coordinating looks, as you could see just glimpses of a Mario hat and a Luigi hat in the video. Maybe they’ll post a family photo soon!
Keke Palmer & Baby Leo
Baby Leo, 8 months, dressed as Dr. Frankenstein and his mama Keke Palmer as Frankenstein’s monster. She shared a video of the baby, complete with a flowing wig, goggles, and a lab coat, bringing his mama to life.
“He needed a motha, so he created ME,” she wrote. Palmer also shared black-and-white photos of their costume, captioning it, “He gave me LIFE.” Adorable!
Jeannie Mai & Baby Monaco
“The most important thing in my world is family 🤍,” Jeannie Mai captioned a new video of her daughter Monaco, 21 months. And the most important thing to her little girl? Baby Shark!
“Monaco has been obsessed with Baby Shark for the last year…” The Real co-host wrote on the video, along with footage of her daughter singing the famous song. “So we decided to surprise her this Halloween…”
Mai then shares a clip of Monaco reacting to her new shark costume, and it’s so cute! She sees herself in the mirror then starts singing “Baby shark doo doo.” We love it!
Later, she opened the door to two relatives dressed in shark costumes, and her “papa” who came down the stairs in a shark costume. At the end, Mai came down wearing the same matching gray shark costume, to the delight and smiles of Monaco. These matching costumes are so cute! Later, Mai and the family took Monaco to a pumpkin patch and took tons of pictures together. So adorable.
Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, Harper & Gideon
Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka always pull off the most fabulous family Halloween looks, and this year is no exception.
“Atop Mount Olympus, We Doth Decree: Happy Halloween, Mortals! #Aphrodite #Hermes #Hades #Poseidon,” Harris wrote on Instagram. The amazing photo shows the whole family wearing white togas as they pose as gods on Mount Olympus.
Harris is Hades, complete with a thorn crown, black smoke coming out of his hands, red eyes, and a black-and-gold throne. Burtka is Poseidon with long blue hair, a triton, and seashells strapped to his body. Harper is dressed as Aphrodite, with long blonde hair and a bird perched on her finger. Finally, Gideon is Hermes, who runs with super speed through the picture, complete with a gold winged hat and winged staff. It’s almost sinful how good these costumes are!
Burtka shared several behind-the-scenes moments from the photoshoot, and it looks intense!
Odell Beckham Jr. & Baby Zydn
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. dressed up with his 20-month-old son Zydn, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Lauren Wood. The father-son duo recreated two famous scenes from Big Daddy. Beckham Jr. was Sonny (Adam Sandler) and Zydn was Julian (Cole Sprouse).
In the first photo, Beckham Jr. wears jeans and a brown coat as he looks down at the little boy, dressed in a jean jacket over a red shirt and a fishing hat. In the next, they pretend to pee at a doorway outside, just like in the movie. It’s so cute!
