Celebrities Wish Taylor Swift Happy Birthday

Taylor Swift celebrated her 30th birthday on Friday, December 13, and it's safe to say that she was pretty much surrounded by love every second. Her big day ended with a performance at Z100’s Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where she was surprised with a huge cat-covered birthday cake, courtesy of radio host Elvis Duran. Naturally, an audience rendition of “Happy Birthday” ensued, and from photos Taylor posted on social media, it’s clear she appreciated the well wishes from fans — not to mention that massive cake, which depicted her three internet-famous cats: Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin.

“I just.. seriously feel so lucky for you all and will spend forever trying to find ways to say thank you,” Taylor wrote on social media, joking that she would be crying into her Christmas tree from all the affection.

The night didn’t end after the Jingle Ball; Taylor and her friends then continued celebrating with what the singer-songwriter described as “the most aggressive holiday party known to womankind.” Plenty of Tay’s A-list squad members were in attendance, including Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt, and Jonathan Van Ness.

On social media, the birthday wishes continued to pour in. “My T!” wrote Gigi. “An old soul celebrating 30 years here ... and what a phenomenon you are. It’s rare someone can be inimitable yet still make hearts feel at home with innate generosity. I love you and can’t wait to celebrate you sister!!!!” BFF Selena Gomez shared a throwback tribute to Taylor in her Instagram story, writing: “Love living many many many years of life with you. You mean the world to me. You help me become better everyday. Happy 30th @taylorswift.” And close friend Todrick Hall added: “Today you celebrate 30 years on this planet, and I just want to say thank you for being such a real friend, such a great therapist, such an iconic musician and songwriter, such a bad ass woman who’s not afraid to speak her mind and such a phenomenal human being.”

Ahead, check out some of the highlights from Taylor’s star-studded birthday wishes, from a BTS’s video message all the way to Hillary Clinton’s empowering shoutout. Happy birthday, Taylor!
