Friends and fans of Lacey Chabert are sending their condolences to the Hallmark star.

In late November 2021, the Mean Girls alum announced on Instagram that her older sister, Wendy, had died. Today, Lacey is still feeling the unexpected loss and she recently opened up about what her grieving process has been like on social media. On January 29, she posted a throwback photo of her and her sister when they were younger.

"I can’t believe it’s been over two months since I’ve been able to hear my sister’s voice," she wrote. "I still reach for my phone ten times a day to text or call her before I remember that I can’t. I keep calling grief a journey because that’s what it’s been for me. It’s been incredibly hard. It’s been incredibly hard. Some moments I am ok and others I can barely catch my breath because my heart aches so deeply."

Lacey continued: "We loved each other SO much and that doesn’t just go away when someone is no longer here with us physically. It’s eternal. I know we were truly blessed to share that kind of love. I realize I’m only at the beginning of this journey and I certainly don’t have all the wisdom, but I know for now I’m doing my best to do what I think Wendy would want me to do. I’m putting one foot in front of the other and making the most of each day. I love you, Wendy 🤍 If you’re missing someone you love tonight, my heart is with you."

After seeing her heartfelt words, Lacey's celebrity friends quickly took to the comments section to stand in support of the actress. "Love you Lacey ❤️ ❤️," Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure wrote. "Wrapping my arms around you and thinking bout the whole family! ❤️," Sabrina the Teenage Witch actress Melissa Joan Hart added. "Love you❤️ I’m so sorry," actress Marla Sokoloff added. "Someday we will talk and have so much to share. I’m wrapping my arms around you.❤️," ER star Kellie Martin said. "❤️❤️❤️❤️," Sweet Magnolias actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher commented.

Fans also reached out to Lacey and let her know that they were there for her. "I too lost my sister 😔 It truly is a heartache 💔 🙏🏻 Praying for you 💕," one person wrote. "My deepest condolences to you and your family 🙏🏼💙," another added. "The journey is hard and long and changes with time.. for me, it doesn’t get easier, you just learn to live differently.. you become stronger but the love, the love still grows. ❤️," a different fan commented.

Shorty after sharing the news of Wendy's death, Lacey gathered with her loved ones for Thanksgiving Day and she shared her gratitude to everyone who showed up for her. (See the Instagram post above with Lacey, Wendy and their eldest sister, Crissy.)

"I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your outpouring of love over our family during this devastating time," she wrote in part on Instagram. "I’ve been reading all of your messages and they’ve touched my heart deeply. My entire family has been comforted by your loving support. Thank you 🙏🏻."
