Thom Browne closed New York Fashion Week with a bang on Wednesday evening, with a front row made up of Janet Jackson, Queen Latifah, Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall, Christopher Abbott, Havana Rose Liu, Rachel Brosnahan, Danai Gurira, Tierra Whack, Seulgi and more.

Before Jackson and Latifah made their last-minute dramatic arrivals, the VIPs mingled about amongst the dark set prior to showtime. It was the first time at a Thom Browne show for Abbott, who most recently has been seen in “Poor Things” as well as on stage alongside Aubrey Plaza in “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.”

After he got invited to come to the show, he did some research into Browne’s most recent work.

“I saw the kind of show they put on [last year], it’s like a kind of theatrical event in that way, and I thought that would’ve been cool to come see,” he said.

He was dressed, naturally, in Thome Browne for the night, which he said was “not particularly” similar to his normal style.

“But I like adopting it, at least for the time being.”

Abbott doesn’t go to many shows, save for the Khaite show over the weekend.

“She’s a good friend of mine. Her husband’s a very old friend, I’ve known her for a long time,” he said. “That one I had to dress myself.”

Elsewhere, Spector — whose bare arms drew a zoom-in effect from more than one passerby — and Hall chatted with Brosnahan, Alton Mason showed off his clock-emblazoned briefcase, and Jenna Lyons and Cass Bird, this weeks’ most ubiquitous couple, took their NYFW final bow.
