HIT OR MISS DIOR: Not all superheroes wear capes. But stars of superhero films do wear Dior.

Rachel Brosnahan is prepping for her role as Lois Lane in the upcoming “Superman: Legacy.” They just had their first table read of the script, and it starts shooting next week.

More from WWD

Moving on to her next project calls time on her era as “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” after five seasons as the titular character, and she’s been stepping away from the period looks with some bolder choices and a lot of black.

“This is more reflective of my personal style, which is a little bit edgier, a little bit more masculine, maybe a little bit more French, dare I say, here in Paris. But you know, it’s the end of the chapter for me, and so it’s been really fun to get to play with different looks,” she said. “I’m absorbing just a little bit of the chic Frenchness through osmosis.”

As Lois Lane she plays a reporter — and turned the tables on WWD. “What’s your best piece of advice?” she queried. “I’m deep in prep right now and I’ve been interviewing journalists left and right.”

Maisie Williams plays Christian Dior’s sister Catherine in the Apple TV+ show “The New Look.” Catherine was a resistance fighter during World War II. For all the fashion fans that have tuned into the show, learning her backstory has been a bit of a surprise.

“I’m really excited that people are learning more about her story. I think it’s been a big surprise for a lot of people watching the show. And that means a lot to me because I think she’s so incredible,” she said, noting that while the Dior name is famous, Catherine has been overlooked.

“I feel like people really should know [her], because there’s a lot of times throughout history where we kind of forget about these very key, important women. And Catherine is one of those people,” she said.

Williams is taking some time to herself and “enjoying life” following the intense shoot, and waiting to hear if the show will be renewed for a second season. But she still hasn’t let Catherine go quite yet, at least sartorially. “I feel this is definitely inspired by the Bar dress, and she was a massive inspiration for that. So I guess I’m still channeling her,” she said of her retro look.

Elizabeth Debicki also ended an era after “The Crown” and is readying for her film “MaXXXine” to premiere. “I personally do not think shoulder pads should make a resurgence; however, I did enjoy wearing them,” she said of the character in the 1980s-set role. “She’s just kind of fabulous. She’s very boss-woman chic with slightly pirate-y silhouettes.”

Debicki went with something a bit more classic for the Dior show, a full-skirted, New Look-style dress.

“I’ve actually really never worn a dress like this before, then I get a chance to wear something just so beautiful,” she said.

Seventeen’s Mingyu was attending his first Paris Fashion Week show. “Honestly I’m a little nervous, but I’m trying to keep it cool,” he said.

The K-pop star is in the middle of a world tour, playing stadiums around the globe. If he can take on the stage, why be nervous at a fashion show?

“This is my first time, but it’s OK because I’m really interested about the show,” he said.

Dior women’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri paid tribute to her predecessor, Marc Bohan, with a Miss Dior-inspired collection.

The other Dior misses also came out for the show, including ambassadors Blackpink’s Jisoo, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman.

The “May December” actress kept her shades on, but promised she wasn’t doing it as a power move. “I made a line on my nose,” she said, indicating they had left a mark. She pulled down the frames to pose and give a sly, smiling glance. “I have a problem, I can’t take them off,” she laughed.

Lawrence praised Chiuri’s work. “She just brings an effortlessly cool and chic look to her designs,” she said. “It’s beautiful and strong and really exciting to be a part of it.”
