Celebrities and Fans React to 'House Hunters' Host Suzanne Whang's Passing
After a 13-year battle with breast cancer, House Hunters host Suzanne Whang died on Tuesday night, according to a Facebook post written by her partner Jeff Vezain. Whang, who hosted the show for nearly a decade, was wildly popular with her audience—and seemingly everyone lucky enough to have met her. Fans admired her sense of humor, warmth, her courage, and even just the soothing way she spoke.
"When I was pregnant with my first kid, I would lay in bed & watch the original House Hunters that Suzanne Whang hosted," Busy Philips wrote in a tweet. "Her voice was the closest I've ever come to understanding ASMR, she soothed me so much-honestly her voice calmed me. HH was never the same after she left."
After the news broke on Friday, everyone from celebrities to politicians shared their favorite memories and kind words about Whang.

I've just been told that Suzanne Whang, the endearing and iconic original host of House Hunters, tragically passed away this week after a recurring battle with breast cancer. Per her rep, she died "peacefully at home with her great love by her side."

She was as much a part of the show as the people that appeared on the show. Her voice is so distinct that it actually made the show better.

I’m so sad to hear that we have lost @suzannewhang She fought her battle against cancer with so much humor, openness, grace and courage. She was a pioneer and an advocate and always spoke her uncensored truth. It hurts to loose such a special human. #suzannewhang #trueartist

Suzanne had an acid wit, was truth storyteller, and gave great hugs and pep talks. She was a beautiful soul and I am glad she is no longer suffering. She will be deeply missed, and our humorous universe just added another star. #SuzanneWhang https://t.co/rVe0BVKuGQ

My wife and I literally spent one of the 9 days of our honeymoon in the Bahamas watching House Hunters 10 years ago. We were inspired to work hard so we, too, could one day house hunt. We are on our 2nd home now. Thanks for helping inspire, Suzanne Whang.
Rest easy 🙏🏾 .— Gabe Braxton (@gabebraxton) September 21, 2019
Prayers for the brave and courageous @suzannewhang. May her soul fly free at last, unburdened now by the sorrows of the world. May she rest peacefully and dance joyously unto eternity. I feel grateful to have known her and send love to those who loved her.

Cokie Roberts, and now #suzannewhang. A gut punch week. Breast cancer is not pink, not cheerful, not easy, not a cheery balloon.
It kills people.

If anything could demonstrate #SuzanneWhang’s spirit and cancer battle this may be it. Suzanne was a champion. She wouldn’t let cancer keep her from doing what she loved. The end where the boy gets out of the chair, that’s how I see her walking into the arms of God. https://t.co/eKp0w12HbC
