Celebrate Tour de Turtles with Tarte Cosmetics, by shopping their Rainforest of the Sea collection
If you’re in love with the idea of spending a day at the beach watching an adorable and steadfast turtle tread towards the water, you’re not alone. The annual Tour de Turtles event is dedicated to raising awareness about the increasing plight of sea turtles while releasing our healed-up buddies back into the ocean.
In conjunction with their ocean-inspired Rainforest of the Sea collection, the beloved makeup brand Tarte Cosmetics is one of the sponsors for the event this year.
In a series of Instagram stories, Tarte Cosmetics shared their experience of the event, which involved the release of an adorable green sea turtle named Argus.
When Argus was first discovered, she was covered in tumors and fishing nets, but now she’s been healed at The Turtle Hospital and is returning to the ocean. For Tour de Turtle, satellites are placed on the turtles so they can be tracked in the ocean. That way followers can keep up with their turtle buddies.
