Enjoy Puccini's classic pieces at the 65th Puccini Opera Festival next summer in Italy's magnificent open-air theatre in Torre del Lago on an exclusive tour with Rupert Christiansen, The Telegraph’s opera critic.

Highlights include first sector seating at two opera performances as well as visits Puccini’s birthplace and Villa Puccini, the historic residence on the shore of Lake Massaciuccoli, where the composer lived for almost 30 years.

Christiansen will offer insights on each opera before guests experience the performances at the lakeside theatre.

The tour in July includes performances of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly and a rousing rendition of La Fanciulla del West, while the August tour includes tickets to La Bohème and Tosca.

Readers will also have the chance to explore the charming town of Lucca and take a scenic boat trip from Torre del Lago offering picturesque views of Lake Massaciuccoli.
