Celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month With Gear From Brands That Give Back

June marks the start of LGBTQ Pride Month, and along with the parades and parties come countless products in kaleidoscopic hues. Brands and retailers are amping up their messaging of inclusivity, charity and sense of purpose with their Pride collections.

Here, we’ve rounded up companies that have Pride-themed gear, including sneakers, apparel, accessories and more, with charitable components that support causes that impact LGBTQ people. Check back for updates.

Abercrombie & Fitch

For their 2022 capsule collection, Abercrombie & Fitch is partnering with The Trevor Project, creating their third co-collaboration. This new collection features gender-inclusive adult clothing ranging in sizes from XXS to XXXL. It features T-shirts, shorts, outerwear, sandals, accessories and more. This collection has also branched into other expressions of color with drawings from Keith Haring, pastel tie-dyes and color-blocked patterns.

How it Supports the LGBTQ Community: Abercrombie & Fitch is not only donating an estimated $400,000 to The Trevor Project but the two will be launching a “love chain” TikTok duet campaign.


Adidas

Adidas collaborated with Australian queer artist Kris Andrew Small on a Pride collection inspired by the activists of the Stonewall Uprising in 1969. The collection features footwear, apparel and accessories available on Adidas.com.

How it supports the LGBTQ community: Adidas partnered with Athlete Ally, which is focused on ending homophobia and transphobia in sport; and Stonewall UK, which has spent the last 30 years positively transforming the lives of many in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Ami Paris

Ami Paris has partnered with British Olympic diving champion Tom Daley on an exclusive collaboration in celebration of Pride Month. The brand is offering two one-of-a-kind sweaters knit by Daley — an Ami de Coeur Rainbow Jumper featuring the brand’s logo and a Cropped Cable Jumper, the latter of which is based on an AMI runway piece. While the Ami de Coeur Rainbow Jumper will be auctioned off online starting Saturday on Drouot.com (the minimum bid is 750 euros), the Cropped Cable Jumper will be sold online as NFT packages for eight hours on June 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CET. Each is priced at 0.12 Ethereum, a cryptocurrency, which translates to about 300 euros.

How it supports the LGBTQ community: 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Kaleidoscope Trust, a charity selected by Tom Daley. UK-based charity Kaleidoscope Trust was established in 2011 and focuses on fighting for the human rights of LGBT+ people across the Commonwealth.

Barton Perreira 

Barton Perreira has collaborated with fellow CFDA designers Blake Kuwahara and I.a.Eyeworks to create rainbow-inspired sunglasses, made to support the LGBTQ center in Los Angeles.

Betsey Johnson

Betsey Johnson has partnered with GLAAD on a new One Love accessories collection in celebration of the LGBTQ community. The One Love collection features colorful handbags and jewelry, inspired by the love and power of Pride.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: A portion of online sales will go towards GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer media advocacy organization, who rewrote the script for LGBTQ acceptance. As a dynamic force for good, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.

Betsey Johnson


Bluebella

This award-winning Lingerie company, Bluebella, has created a limited-edition Pride collection featuring beloved drag-queens Brooke Lynn Hytes and Vanessa Vanjiie Mateo. Together, the two model different lingerie looks for this new campaign that features a multitude of styles including lace, sheer, and cutouts. Having these world-renowned queens model this campaign promotes better inclusivity and shows efforts for better representations.

How it Supports the LGBTQ Community: Bluebella is donating 10% of profits from the collection to OutRight Action International, which is a foundation that is dedicated to advocating for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.


Blundstone

Blundstone continues to honor the LGBTQIA+ community through its #2105 Rainbow Boot, which is available on Blundstone.com. A version of the brand’s iconic Chelsea silhouette, these commemorative boots are recognizable for a rainbow flag elastic on both sides of the boot shaft.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ community: The brand teamed up with two Queer artists on limited-edition product to champion the creative voices within the community. Working with Queer | Art, the two created a bespoke Pride flag available to customers as a gift with purchase throughout the month of June. It features original artwork from Marco DaSilva. Additionally, Blundstone partnered with Original Rebrand to create three custom pairs of boots painted by artist MI Leggett, a New York, non-binary artist with a background in sustainable agriculture, video art and painting. The boots will be given away on the brand’s Instagram.

Chaco Footwear

Chaco Footwear is partnering up with Brave Tails for their 2022 Pride collection. The collection will feature rainbow slides and strappy sandals for men, women and children which will retail for $60-$110 and are available on the website.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: Chaco Footwear is working with and donating to Brave Trails, a non-profit organization that helps young people in the LGBTQIA+ community. The organization offers leadership summer camps, mental health services and year-round leadership programming.

Cole Haan

Cole Haan has released a new Pride collection to support the LGBTQIA+ community, available now until June 30. The collection features five of the brand’s signature slide and sneaker styles, including the Generation ZERØGRAND II and GrandPrø Rally Canvas Court sneakers. These are reimagined with colorways and detailing unique to the 2022 Pride season — including “Love” lettering, multicolored stripes and leopard prints. Available in both men’s and women’s sizes, the line was designed by womens’ footwear VP Jimmy Chan inspired by celebrating pride in oneself and living an authentic life. The $80-$160 is currently available in Cole Haan stores, as well as the brand’s website.

How it supports the LGBTQ community: The brand is donating $25,000 to The Trevor Project to prevent suicide and form crisis interventions for LGBTQIA+-identifying or questioning youth.

Converse

This season, Converse is shining a light on the LGBTQIA+ community’s “chosen families: allies and others met on individuals’ journeys to acceptance. The sneaker brand has partnered with over 50 international young creatives for a new campaign, “Found Family,” which aims to share LGBTQIA+ support and love by telling each person’s story through mediums like art, photographs and letters in a digital gallery on Converse’s website — plus photography by artist Richie Shazam. Its accompanying collection features quilting, graphics and a gradient rainbow bandana print to represent diversity across apparel, headwear and the label’s numerous iconic shoe styles, including the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, All Star Slide and One Star. Currently, customizable Chuck Taylor All Star High, Low, and Platform silhouettes are also available on the brand’s Converse By You platform, where shoppers can personalize the styles’ patches, plates and laces inspired by various LGBTQIA+ community flags. The remaining line will launch in the beginning of June.

How it supports the LGBTQ community: Through annual grants, Converse is also supporting the work of community partners in creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive youth to be their true selves. Those community partners in North America include the It Gets Better Project, Skate Like A Girl’s Inclusivity Cooperative, The Theater Offensive, The Ali Forney Center, BAGLY, Out MetroWest and Las Fotos Project.

COS just dropped “Love For All,” a limited-edition collection featuring three unique designs made in collaboration with creators from the LGBTQIA+ community: performance poet, trans-visibility campaigner, and model Kai-Isaiah Jamal, artist, and creative director Zipeng Zhu, and musician and award-winning actor SOKO. Prices range from $59 to $89.

How it supports the LGBTQ community: 100% of the collection’s profits will go to support charities that champion human rights. For each “Love For All” garment sold, $47 will be donated back to The Trevor Project, with a minimum commitment of $50,000.

Happy Socks is teaming up with The Phluid Project for the third time on a colorful Pride collaboration. The collection includes six new designs all of which feature the Progress Flag design.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: The two brands will donate 10% of net sales of the products sold year round to The Phluid Phoundation which is a non profit that directs funds to the most at risk in the LGBTQIA+ community. Hush Puppies

Hush Puppies is teaming up with the founder of Free Mom Hugs, Sara Cunningham this Pride month. They will be releasing a co-designed shoe, the Charlie Pride Sneaker, in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community. The shoe stands for inclusivity as it showcases the entire LGBTQIA+ flag instead of just the classic rainbow.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: All proceeds from the Charlie Pride Sneaker will be donated to Free Mom Hugs, an organization that empowers the LGBTQIA+ community through visibility, education and conversations. Free Mom Hugs is made up of parents and allies who are working toward full affirmation and equality for all.

In honor of Pride Month, JustFab has released a collection of footwear, clothing, and accessory designs inspired by the Pride flag, in partnership with the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, which helps to ease the difficulty LGBTQ people often face finding shoes and clothing they feel aligns with their gender identity and expression — while also being comfortable and affordable.

Kohl’s is continuing its LGBTQIA+ community support with a new ph by Phluid clothing collection, in partnership with LGBTQIA+-owned genderless brand The Phluid Project. The line aims to celebrate authenticity and self-affirmation for people of all genders, races, abilities and sizes, festooned with colorful graphic prints like “Lead With Love” and “Ask Me My Pronouns.” It’s also affordable, with the range’s hoodies, T-shirts, crop and tank tops retailing from $14 to $35. Kohl’s is also promoting new Pride-themed shoes, accessories and more from brands including Vans and Sonoma Goods.

The new line includes apparel, and accessories featuring artwork made by athletes from the OUT Foundation, who created the art using fitness equipment like medicine balls at NOBULL’s Miami store earlier this year. Prices range from $14 to $199.

 How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: 100% of net proceeds, up to $200,000, from the collection will benefit the OUT Foundation.

Nordstrom will be spotlighting brands that support the LGBTQIA+ community throughout June. That includes Converse, Bombas, Coach, Dr. Martens, Toms, Ugg, Vans and more. This year, their Pride campaign features Playground Kiki, a Seattle-based LGBTQ2S+ organization founded to build community for BIPOC youth and grow the Pacific Northwest ballroom scene. Additionally, Nordstrom’s BP. Be Proud collection, helmed by a queer designer, features a range of silhouettes for people of all gender expressions with sizes ranging from XXS – 4X. Prices range from $25 – $59.

 How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: Nordstrom donated to organizations like Lambda Legal and Equality Florida, which help to give aid to youth and families. The retail giant is also giving back to non-profit organizations including the Human Rights Campaign, Trans Lifeline and The Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), which serves LGBTQIA+ youth between the ages of 13 and 24 years old with homeless youth services, job training, HIV testing and connection to care, academic enrichment and more

 


Pura Vida

Pura Vida has released their Pride collection which features rainbow-clad accessories, apparel and stickers.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: Pura Vida will donate 5% of proceeds to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people, with a minimum donation of $25,000.

Rue 21 has partnered with suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization The Trevor Project for its #Say Gay Pride 2022 campaign. On May 18, The brand launched a gender-neutral clothing collection that includes accessories, shorts, screen tees and underwear. They will release two returning fragrances “Unity Love” and “Unity Strong” as a part of the campaign. The collection is available in stores and online and prices range from $3.99 to $32.99.

Sanuk

Sanuk follows up from its debut all-gender footwear collection for a second act. In collaboration with Pacific Pride Foundation, the Pride line includes two all-gender styles: the Sling ST Pride sandal ($60-$65) and the Pridewalk Surfer ($45), a lightweight sidewalk surfer.

Spencer’s

Spencer’s is teaming up with the ACLU for their 2022 Pride collection. The assortment features screen-printed and rainbow-colored attire including skirts, tees, tanks, jerseys and shorts as well as buttons, flags, masks and jewelry all of which can be found on the Spencer’s website.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: Spencer’s and the ACLU aim to raise awareness and funds to fight for LGBTQIA+ rights through a round-up program that raised over $350,000. Spencer’s will also match up to $50,000 in donations for 2022.

Superga and Baja East have collaborated for Pride to create a multi-dimensional shoe. This collaboration celebrates Superga’s classic styles with Baja East’s signature wild horse prints, this season running free under the rainbow in Bajawood & Malibu. Baja East puts their spin on two classic Superga styles by merging their signature ‘Bajawood’ and ‘Malibu Wild Horse Prints’ with classic Superga silhouettes to create two one-of-a-kind designs. How it Supports the LGBTQ Community: These brands are supporting the community by donating the proceeds from the capsule collection to The Ali Forney Center. This center works to protect LGBTQ youth from the troubles of homelessness and financial issues.

Vans

For Pride Month, Vans tapped three artists to create a collection that celebrates their individuality: Ashley Lukashevsky, Kaitlin Chan and Sarah Lurosso. The Classic Slip-On and Authentic silhouettes join apparel and accessories within the collaboration. The collection is available on Vans.com.

How it supports the LGBTQ community: Vans is donating a total of $200,000 from the Checkerboard Fund at Tides Foundation to three organizations committed to advocating for and providing the space, access and community needed to uplift the voices of the LGBTQ+ community.

Ugg 

Ugg has teamed up with the Trevor Project for its “Feel Heard” campaign ahead of Pride month. The collection includes pride-inspired rainbow-colored fluffy slides. The Pride collection also features apparel such as rainbow-inspired oversized tees, sequin jackets, bralettes, shorts and a cropped hoodie. Accessories include a cross-body bag, rainbow bag and socks.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: Ugg celebrated the launch with a $125,000 donation to The Trevor Project to help grow the organization’s 24/7 crisis service and expand its suicide prevention programs.

Parisian fashion brand Zadig & Voltaire has launched a six-piece Pride capsule featuring a hoodie, sweatshirt, and two t-shirts with the word “Amour” printed in a rainbow color, a t-shirt with “Amour” in rainbow crystals, and a Pride High Flash sneaker. The capsule retails between $118 and $495 and is now available at Zadig & Voltaire stores worldwide and Zadig-et-Voltaire.com.

How it supports the LGBTQIA+ Community: This latest collection is part of the brand’s charitable division, Art is Hope, with 10% of sales from its Pride capsule collection donated to Queer|Art. The donation will provide Queer|Art with critical funding for two key initiatives that further the creative and professional development of our LGBTQ+ artist community. The first initiative will bolster support for public presentations of works in progress and new premieres that celebrate the work of Queer|Art’s artists at every stage of development. The second initiative will support professional development workshops on topics such as; financial wellness, grant and application writing, hiring and managing artist assistants, professional relationship building, and social media training for 2022 Queer|Art| Mentorship. This significant dual investment will allow the public presentations to have the broadest possible reach and will provide direct support for the professional development of 12 emerging LGBTQ+ artists.
