Catt Sadler is opening up about going under the knife, and she doesn't care what you think about it.

The former E! News host, 48, recently got a facelift, neck lift, and eye lift, and chronicled her plastic surgery journey for social media in the name of honesty.

"What if we all told the truth? What if we allowed others to do what they feel is best for themselves?" Sadler captioned her video, which was distributed to followers through the text-based subscription service Scriber. Calling the three-week experience, a "life-altering" and "extraordinarily intense ride," Sadler stated that the multiple procedures weren't due to any insecurities about the way she looks.

"This wasn’t a 'fix' because of self-loathing but rather a step into my own power," shared the podcaster, who frequently discusses issues for middle-aged women on her show, It Sure Is a Beautiful Day. "Love of self!"

The video, which was set to the Hania Rani song "Glass," featured Sadler as she started her experience on May 22. Wrapped in bandages and exited the medical facility via wheelchair, Sadler chronicled her recovery in the subsequent weeks, followed by the finished project, noting that she was "feeling fly."

In a new interview with Glamour released last week to coincide with her big reveal, Sadler explained why she decided to undergo the procedures and eschewed any assumptions that it was based on disliking herself.

“It’s not like I did it because I can’t get a job," she explained. “It’s not that I did it because I want my boyfriend to think I look 35. None of that was a consideration. It was more about looking in the mirror and feeling good. How I feel.” She went on to say that one of the "best parts about getting older is giving zero f—what people think of you”, particularly on social media where other public figures don't disclose the cosmetic work they've had done to their faces and bodies.

Sadler had gotten injectables before but wasn't thrilled with the pain of getting fillers done. She didn't initially go into her plastic surgeon's office determined to get a facelift, and was even surprised that her physician recommended the procedure to remedy her "jowly sagginess" causing "pooling right around the lower half of my face and neck."

Ultimately, she decided to follow through with the three procedures, and be entirely transparent with her followers about it.

“Why not be transparent?" she told Glamour. "Why not inform women about what it can be like?”

Sadler, who said she was pleased with the results, also discussed the reactions she's gotten from fans and followers, many of whom were shocked to discover that she's undergo the procedures at 48.

“The feedback’s been a lot of ‘Thank you for telling all sides of what it’s really like to be 48 and what’s available to us,’” she shared. “And really just more questions about what to expect and how bad it had hurt and all this stuff. So that’s been nice.”

Sadler also spoke about whether her openness regarding plastic surgery was inspired by her journey surrounding her 2017 departure from E! News. At the time, Sadler discovered that her male counterpart, Jason Kennedy, was making more than double her salary. While she hoped to use this information to back her contract negotiation, she subsequently left the network and became an outspoken advocate for pay parity. When asked by Glamour if that experience empowered her to be more honest, Sadler confirmed the assertion.

"Truth is everything. I just feel like you cannot lose if you’re telling the truth. And that applies to everything. It applies to your job, your profession, your relationships. It pertains to everything," she said. "So yes, that’s why I see this as a step in my own power. I really do."
