Cat's Reaction to Feeling Pregnant Mom's Baby Kick Is Cuteness Overload
Welcoming a new baby is a huge and exciting adjustment for everyone in the family, including pets. TikTok user @Eirafalling posted a sweet video on August 9th of her beautiful kitty cuddling up to her belly before the baby arrives.

Aww, Mom says that Nixie doesn't like to be squished and her face is just utterly shocked. Another pregnant user named @Ellie commented, "My kitten always lays on my belly and every time she does my son kicks her off." @Zoe adds, "But also… the kitty was too stunned to speak." She really was! @Rinster, also expecting a baby, says, "My cats get so offended when baby moves or kicks. They think I'm the one that did it. Nope, take it up with the baby you are laying on lol."
If you are expecting your own little bundle of joy, you can help your feline baby prepare by making changes well before the baby arrives so that your cat has time to acclimate. Gradually adjust your cat's routine, feeding schedule, and sleeping areas to align with the upcoming change. If you are moving your cat's food and water bowls, do so now. If there will be areas off-limits to your cat when the baby arrives, like where the crib will be kept, establish these boundaries ahead of time by closing doors.
When your new baby is home, give your cat plenty of treats and affection and supervise their time together. One day your new baby will have a best friend to grow up with.
