Cat's Excitement Over His Bunny Costume Is Too Cute to Resist

We don't know about you, but every time we've tried to put our pets in costumes they absolutely hate it. What a shame! We just know they'd look so cute dressed like a little pirate. So we guess we're admitting we're completely jealous of one woman whose cat Loki loves his bunny costume so much so that he begs his mama to dress him up.

It seems impossible to believe, but as a video on the cat mom's page proves it's really, really true.

Did the cat lover just luck out? That seems to be the case. As the video shows, Loki had the costume in his mouth as he walked towards his mama.

"I told my cat everyone loved his panda costume, so he was SO excited to show off his other little costume," the woman wrote in the video's onscreen caption.

It's almost like he said to her, "come on, Mom. Time for dress-up!"

The video then cut to Loki in his bunny costume and my goodness it is cute! He even had a little carrot — how adorable!

"I’ve spent the past 48 hours putting this thing away only for him to find it and bring it right back," the cat mom joked in the caption.

How to Get a Cat to Wear a Costume

Okay, now how in the world did this lady get her cat to actually like wearing a costume? Heck, how did she get her cat in two costumes in the first place?

While it might seem like a pipe dream to some of us, there are a few ways that you can get your pet into that sailor costume you've been dreaming of.

The first tip is to introduce the costume to your kitty and let them investigate it. It's even okay if they sleep on the costume. You just want your cat to be comfortable and if it can smell like them, all the better.

Then take one part of the costume, whether that be the headpiece, the body piece, or booties, one piece at a time and place it on your cat. Don't fasten any buckles or ties. Just let your cat get used to the weight of the costume on their body and immediately reward them after putting the costume parts on them.

Now you can start practicing buckling or fastening the costume. Reward them with treats as you put the costume on and to help keep them distracted from trying to rip the costume off. Eventually you'll get to the point when the entire costume is on. And voila! Your cat is ready for a photo shoot.

Remember, if your cat is really hating the whole costume thing don't force it. The point is to get your cat comfortable with the process, but not make them completely miserable. Have fun!
