Catherine Zeta-Jones Shares An Early Career Pic From 'Zorro' And Fans Are In Awe

It’s no secret that Catherine Zeta-Jones is just as stunning today as she was in the 90s, and the 53-year-old Oscar winner continues to bless fans’ feeds with reminders of this (like epic minimal makeup selfies and chic red carpet looks).

While the actress is certainly killing it in present day (she most recently wowed us all in gothic glam looks on Wednesday), she recently took to Instagram to share two throwback pics from the set of 1998’s The Mask of Zorro, in which she played stylish sword-fighter Elena Montero.

Zeta-Jones took her 5.2 million followers back to her breakthrough role, and naturally, many fans couldn’t get enough of the two-part throwback photo collection.

In the first pic that the Chicago alum shared, she donned an intricate white blouse with short, scalloped sleeves and black floral detailing. On the set of the first Zorro film, she wore her long brunette tresses down, parted in the center and styled into elegant loose waves.

As for her makeup look, Zeta-Jones’ Elena rocked smokey black liner, voluminous lashes, a touch of rosy blush and a mauve lipstick. As for her accessories, she shimmered with layered necklaces and a cross pendant.

Zeta-Jones captioned her post, “Totally missed TBT, so doing a FBF, (mother, I will explain later) 2 pics of the chick in Zorro!” The Ocean’s Twelve star, who often shares blasts from the past on IG along with witty captions, added a second pic of another memorable Elena costume, composed of a low-cut white corset top with a periwinkle satin robe worn over it.

Naturally, many fans headed to Zeta-Jones’ comment section to share their favorite memories of her in the film and applaud her timelessly beautiful look. “I was 10 and this is the first film I watched and remembered,” one sweetly recalled, adding, “I remember thinking how beautiful and strong you were and wanted to be Elena. It’s still one of my favourite films to this day.”

Another chimed in, writing, “I love everything in that movie but especially, your dresses, your hair, and the dance at the ball.” Others noted how Zeta-Jones “still looks the same to this day,” as someone else commented, “There is no end of your beauty, you are unreal.”

Another replied, “do you even age?” and honestly, after seeing more of Zeta-Jones’ gorg videos and pics from her IG, we’re wondering the same thing!
