Catherine Bell is feeling thankful as Cassie Nightingale's story comes to an end.

After hearing that Good Witch is ending after season 7 concludes on July 25, Catherine took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the Hallmark Channel's cancellation announcement. More than anything, it sounds like Catherine, who has played the lead Cassie Nightingale for seven seasons and seven movies, is feeling truly blessed. Her caption began with the Dr. Seuss quote, "Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened!"

"I am so grateful for 7 seasons... and 13 years (of movies) of being a part of Good Witch, working with the KINDEST and most talented, cast & crew, producers, network! It has always felt like family ❤️," she wrote.

Catherine then continued to gush about her character, calling Cassie "a woman who is always positive, inspiring and uplifting" and claiming that the role has made her "a better person."

"I feel so fortunate. I know we will all miss the Good Witch and all the amazing chracters [sic.] and stories. But I am definitely smiling because it happened," Catherine said.

After seeing Catherine's heartfelt message, many of her fans and a few fellow Hallmark Channel actors rushed to the comments section to pen kind messages. "Love you and will always love this show❤️," Home and Family actor Cameron Mathison wrote. "Congratulations! One [of] the best times I had on set. Come to nyc and we’ll celebrate illegally!" A Christmas Melody and Good Witch guest star Kathy Najimy joked.

Meanwhile, some fans seemed disappointed in Hallmark Channel's decision to end the series after seven seasons. "Sad to see this show end 😢," one fan remarked. "Nooooo!!! Say it isn’t so💔," another commented.

Even still, it sounds like the cast is trying to stay positive. Catherine's lead costar James Denton, who plays Dr. Sam Radford, also expressed gratitude when reacting to the cancellation announcement.

"It would be unseemly to complain about your show being canceled after seven seasons, and I won’t,” he said in a statement to Deadline. “I’ve been very fortunate to have been on other long-running series, but Good Witch was special."
