The 'Joker' sequel gives a fresh spin on the beloved character's outfit.

New paparazzi pictures from the Joker: Folie à Deux set are giving us a first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

The costume doesn't look much like previous iterations of the character, outside of the fact that it retains the original color scheme. But the harlequin-printed black-and-white blouse, matching tights, and a black leather miniskirt give Harley Quinn's outfit a much more feminine appearance.

The ensemble is completed with a bright red blazer featuring layers of tulle at the edge of the sleeves and traditional harlequin eye makeup. Gaga's hair is slicked back and bleached with overgrown brown roots, giving the outfit a bit of an edge.

In the photos, her character is surrounded by Gotham City cops and protesters as she is being led into a courthouse.

In one of the images, Gaga turns back to look behind her with a raised fist, seemingly in support of the Joker.

In another, she can be seen giving the finger to one of the many bystanders.

In a behind-the-scenes video shot by TMZ, extras acting as protesters were captured queued up by porta-potties with some of their props visible.

One holds a sign that reads "Arthur Fleck [a.k.a. The Joker] killed on the Murray Show," in reference to The Joker murdering talk show host Murray Franklin on air. Another has a sign on display that says "Lemme out of this clown car."

Elsewhere in the video, a wider glimpse of the photographed scene can be caught, showing Joker's supporters standing outside holding "FREE JOKER" signs while wearing plastic clown masks.

As previously reported by NBC, the scene was filmed outside the Manhattan Criminal Court, where pro-Donald Trump protesters and press have gathered awaiting to hear updates on the former president's possible indictment.

Joker: Folie à Deux is slated to hit theaters on Oct. 4, 2024.
