Cat Serves As 'Adoptive Dad' to Duck Eggs and It's Just Too Cute

Someone's gotta tell him....

We've said it once, we've said it twice, and we'll say it a third time: orange cats are just the orangest cats out there. And if you need further proof, just take a look at this barn cat who's decided to park his fluffy butt on a nest of duck eggs that a mama duck hatched. It's like he's saying, "Move over, Mama Duck, I'm taking over the egg-sitting duties. Don't worry, I'm a professional nap-taker." Or baby, er, duck-sitter, at least.

@Tandsanatolians posted the following video of her cat Bob. What do you think is going on here?

LOL! It's so funny how she tries to explain to him, "Bob! You're not the father!" TikTok users are absolutely able to explain Bob's odd behavior and @Kate comments, "They’re co-parenting ma’am." That tracks. @Eskimobaby66 replies, "He’s a surrogate dad. It’s great. Thanks for sharing." @Rachel hilariously responds, "He is the dad now. She gave him custody." @Iamme reasons, "Step dads come in all shapes and sizes..... and species."

@Caitlin shares the absolute worst theory with, "He's just warming up his snacks." Gasp! Noooo! We refuse to believe Bob could be that bad! @Beth has a way better comment with, "Bob is a midwife and daycare owner. He's already gotten her through the first part."

We are team Bob all the way! Now we just gotta see him with his ducklings!
