Cat Describes Attempted Coyote Attack to Mom by Using His Talking 'Buttons'

Talking buttons for pets have become more and more popular in recent months, largely thanks to mind-blowing social media videos from 'talking' dogs like Bunny the Sheepadoodle. But these tools aren't meant only for canines! @Justinbieberthecat_ is just one feline superstar who communicates with buttons, and he's good at it, too.

The morning after a coyote had given the orange cat and his fur brother a scare (everyone is OK, don't worry), Justin was even able to describe the attacker to his human mom. This 'talking' cat is seriously smart!

OK, I am officially impressed! Not only did Justin choose his words with intention, but he also chose the perfect words too. He even knew that the coyote is a dog lookalike! It definitely helps that his human mama already knew about the attempted coyote attack, but we'd like to think she would've been able to figure it out regardless.

As impressive as this orange tabby cat's communication skills are, his horror story is also a great reminder to cat parents to keep their fur babies safe as the weather gets warm. That can be a difficult task when it comes to outdoor cats, but felines like Justin who were simply minding their business on their 'catio' are also at risk of predation.

"Please make sure that your catio has concrete underneath," suggested @perserverance_always. "Otherwise, the coyotes can dig underneath and get in." That's a great idea! Unfortunately, not all cat patios are created equal, and it isn't a simple task to renovate an entire porch or patio for an energetic indoor-outdoor feline.

Concrete is only one way to reinforce an outdoor cat enclosure, but whichever method you choose, do it well! The safety of your cats deserves nothing less than the utmost care, after all--just ask Justin!
