More cast members have been announced for Jason Reitman's SNL 1975 film, which follows a troupe of young comedians who changed TV forever.

Deadline has revealed that Nicholas Braun will star as Jim Henson, Tommy Dewey will play Michael O'Donoghue, and Nicholas Podany will star as Billy Crystal.

They join the previously announced cast members of Gabriel LaBelle, Cooper Hoffman, Rachel Sennott, Dylan O'Brien, Cory Michael Smith, Matt Wood, and Lamorne Morris.

Set on October 11, 1975, SNL 1975 will detail the behind-the-scenes story of the moments leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live.

Now in its 49th season, SNL has been the big break for many contemporary comedians, including Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, Eddie Murphy and countless others.

Reitman will direct, having co-wrote the film alongside Ghostbusters: Afterlife collaborator Gil Kenan. The script was based on a series of interviews conducted by the duo with the show's living cast members.
