From Town & Country

We're used to seeing them dressed to the nines in 1950s-era styles, but the cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has proved yet again that they look just as good in contemporary fashions.

The show is nominated for three Golden Globes tonight, all of course in the "musical or comedy" categories: Rachel Brosnahan for Best Performance by an Actress, Alex Borstein for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, as well as the much-coveted Best Television Series.

Rachel Brosnahan, the actress behind the titular Mrs. Maisel, arrived wearing a yellow gown, which might not have looked that out of place on Midge Maisel.

For her part, Alex Borstein (Brosnahan's on-screen manager) wore a red gown with some sparkly detailing.

Other members of the cast were on hand as well: onscreen couples Marin Hinkle and Tony Shalhoub, and Caroline Aaron and Kevin Pollak posed together on the red carpet. Hinkle was sporting a green-and-black gown, while Shalhoub opted for a smart white jacket. Aaron wore a draped black dress, and Pollak a blue tux.

Michael Zegen, the actor behind Joel Maisel, went for a classic bowtie and tux. His slicked-back hair is not unlike the 1950s 'do that his character has been known to wear.

Although the cast was surely excited about their nominations, they likely weren't surprised. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was an awards show favorite in its first season as well, winning up two Golden Globes (Best Series and Best Actress), as well as a stunning eight Emmys.

The show has already been renewed for a third season, which is likely to debut in early winter 2019-we'll see if this third run can continue the critical success of the first two.
