Cassie Just Got Engaged to Alex Fine

It looks like Cassie has found her cowboy in shining armor. On Instagram today, singer Cassie Ventura and her baby daddy, personal trainer Alex Fine, announced their engagement with a video of Fine’s romantic and rustic-themed proposal.

With a little help from the Compton Cowboys (a community group of black cowboys in Compton, California), Fine surprised Cassie in a cowboy getup, complete with a horse and ranch. “Mrs. Fine❤️,” the personal trainer wrote in his caption, “8.24 - forever.”

Cassie shared a photo of the two hugging each other post-proposal. “I love you best friend,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Besides wedding bells, the two are also expecting their first child together. Hours before they publicly announced their engagement, the singer took to Instagram to post some steamy photos of herself showing off her baby bump. In two photos, Cassie poses completely naked on a rock, the ocean and blue sky behind her. In a black-and-white flick, she stands on a staircase wearing a sheer black robe and black stilettos.

Last October, Cassie parted ways from her old flame, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The two, who had allegedly been dating since 2007, broke hip-hop fans’ hearts with their separation. Still, they remain amicable—so much so that when Cassie and Fine first announced they were expecting in June, Diddy posted a heartfelt message to the happy couple on his Instagram.

“Congratulations @Cassie and Alex,” he wrote in the caption. “I wish you all nothing but love and happiness. God bless ❤️❤️❤️ L O V E.”
