Barbecue just got more convenient thanks to Casey’s newest menu drop.

In addition to thin-crust pizza and taco pizza, Casey’s shoppers can now treat themselves to new barbecue pulled pork pizza or pulled pork sliders.

The Ankeny-based convenience chain announced the new eats Wednesday, with the additions arriving just in time for summer — and just after Casey’s ranked No. 2 for best gas stations for food by readers in a USA TODAY 10Best poll.

And you can try the new pizza for $10 on National Barbecue Day, May 16.

“Casey’s new BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza exemplifies the unexpected food innovation we continue to deliver to our guests, emphasizing the surprising reality that you can get a delicious meal with fresh ingredients and bold flavors from a convenience store,” said Tom Brennan, Casey’s Chief Merchandising Officer, in a news release. “As the nation’s fifth largest pizza chain, Casey’s continues to deliver the combinations our guests crave, and this time it’s the sweet and savory tastes you'd expect from a summer BBQ.”

The barbecue pulled pork pizza begins with Casey’s homemade dough and is topped with Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, mozzarella cheese, slow-smoked pulled pork, bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion and thick-cut pickles, according to the news release.

Casey’s is also introducing the pulled pork sliders, made with slow-smoked pulled pork and topped with Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce and thick-cut pickles, all sandwiched between King’s Hawaiian slider buns, according to the news release.

A large barbecue pulled pork pizza is $16.99 ordered online or in the Casey’s app. The pulled pork sandwiches are $6.49, according to the news release.

On National Barbecue Day, you can get a large barbecue pulled pork or barbecue chicken pizza for $10.

Here are some other deals to watch for this summer, according to the news release:

  • Large specialty pizza, including the barbecue pulled pork pizza, for $14 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays through June 25

  • BOGO 50% off any large single-topping pizza through June 25

  • Buy any large pizza, get a large single-topping pizza 50% off from June 26 through Sept. 3

  • $3 Cheesy Breadsticks with any large pizza through Sept. 3.
